tenaciously clings

the blurs
the blurs
the samples of frustration
smeared frost colored
images
frrom the foggy window
the blurs
the blurs
them there in vision
a couple simply loving
blurred by
the images through
this
steamy invision
-----------------------------------

She saw him happy
as a way to speak her
needs
he was her husband not
an end to her means
his responsiblity
was to see that her
needs were meet
she saw an oppurtunity
to have there needs meet
she spoke clearly
not to alter the mood
asked him to think it over
please don't be mean or rude
it's to benifet our future
not to sour the day
I speak this in collaberations
might someone wish to
take it away

no one said life would be a breeze
i compare it to getting out and climbing trees
i sometimes fall to my knees but don't stay down
i get up and refuse tenaciously to wear a frown
in my imagination i have wings and i roam free
i do my best to expand the big world before me

Thoughts of a Border Collie While
Pondering a Bone

Mine, mine, mine, I think
as I drip drool on the floor.
Bloody meat clings
tenaciously to the hard bone.
White fat, like veins of gold,
marbles the red treat.
My owner is thawing this delicious
delicacy on the counter.
I watch and wait with longing
as I think of the animal odor.
Sharp canines will soon tear
and rend all from the cow’s femur.
My probing tongue will pull the tangy,
succulent marrow from its hiding place.
When all has been eaten, it will
become my favorite chew toy as
I will gnaw, gnaw, gnaw until not
one atom remains.
Then I will lay back in the cool shade
and realize I am a lucky dog.

Premium MemberTRUTH UPHOLDING MY BEING

Truth* upholds my being and becoming
anchored upon God Almighty, the Source of truth
instructing me to walk on paths of righteousness with love
directing my heart toward trusting His divine precepts against doubt…
With sublime truth, my faith lives
buttressed by inspired precious Scriptures that constantly quicken my soul
reviving my spirit to rejoice in His bestowed eternal salvation
securing me throughout eternity, assuring triumph midst pardon of sins…
Tenaciously standing for truth instilled in my belief
I continue to share the Gospel
propelled by the redemptive transformative power of the Lord
with earnest prayer and blissed zeal for its fruitful propagation…
Such is my fervent desire with gratitude
since my all is nothing without God’s truth.

Constance seizes the forest blissfully
Optimistically merging with skies
Such a spirited sprite spins gleefully
Tenaciously trying to mesmerize
Astute sages within the high green trees; thus,
Nymphs seek to sustain a bejeweled prize
Zestful branches dance with the maiden of
Ardent constancy, delightfully wise.
Lest she be a bird that soars eternally
Escaping the hiding place amongst butterflies
Embraced by Cosmos, care-free and earthy
Encircled by spry stellar mysteries
Fine fairies fare well, fearlessly flying
In fanciful fortified flower fields

Port of Spain

Manifestations of your Gauzy Fantasies
Unravelling Bonds of Tangled, Mangled Destinies
Sun of Man Set His Right Eye on Me
Tenaciously Searing, Calculating
To Entrap Me, A Prisoner to His Needs
Inspired A Premedimated Deed did He
With Intent To Plant a Seed!

Stormed Wrecked and Invaded My Archipelago
Pirate Prowess, Sophomoric,
He Stared, I Jeered, Blotted Proviso Smeared
Drenched In Salted Sweet, Freshly Spring Showered Awhile Ago
Armpits Crying, Young Sun, I've Done No Wrong
No Shade to Evade the Soundless Seranade
As The Father, Not the Sun, Pearched In a Chariot
Cascaded, Paraded Crusade

Blazing Rays, No Mercy, No Refrain
Solar Purgatory, Solicited by the Solar Nova Hovering above Port-of Spain
Evaporated Senses, Smothered Disdain, Budding Foliage Scorched and Drained
Organically Syphoning Hydration Reserved for Lack of Rain
Heat Rashes, Depleted Cortizone Stashes
Senses Assunder, Lost in Wander
Drifting Sun Stroked, Begging Pardon, Parched and Punished In Port of Spain!

pinnacle challenges
showcasing great miracles
others consider as mysterious
magical... or even mystical... but
are worth pursuing with zest and zeal

triumphant quest ... amidst slime pits or quagmire.
Yes, as a mentor, I'm a mountain... tenaciously, by faith
in God, inviting students to press toward the mark* of wondrous
learning journey as they choose to reach the summit while enjoying...
not lag behind with doubt, and just view from afar, wishing "I could be there."
I followed my teachers' trail; now, I testify that I learned from them!

Abecedarian - true adulation

Anchored in the Aura of your loyalty, the
Breathtaking mood you enhance in me, for I
Cannot fathom the length of your love
Definitely not enveloped in envy but care
Every time that phone rings you race to it
Fervently like a worship, in offerings
Garnished with sacrifices and praises
Hammered by my hypnotic smile you hug
In, triggered by my endangering tear you
Jug ruthlessly into its source, instilling
Kindness and knowledge endlessly
Like a rugged professor, family is not
Mostly drawn out of blood, you have stood
Needlessly in my heart, because the bond
Overcomes every thorn that pierces our soul
Preciously evacuating every dead ash laying
Quietly in my heart, you have genuinely and
Relentlessly proven you are worth a million
Size too enormous to spill, your support
Tenaciously clench my wrist like a pillar of
Unraveling mysteries. You share vital
Visions and make us run with it like thieves.
Wondering amid primrose you glisten like
Xanthopetals, serenading your bloom
Yet unmarred flawlessly in Perihelion, let your
Zestful being be celebrated for being a true friend.

If (I / you) were to observe (myself / yourself),
Would (I / You) really know (myself / yourself)?

-----------------------------------------------

We prosper but we also strain -
This "Game of Life" is that refrain.
It carries on from day-to-day
And we stay steadfast in the fray

Playing our roles up to the hilt,
Life's psycho-social endless tilt -
Casting our lots on roulette's wheel,
Love's psycho-analytic deal.

Gazing into the mirror's face
It's who we are in that embrace.
It's what and why we can't explain -
Our Egos whitewash loss and gain.

We strive to find identity
And picture what we'd hope to be.
At times we feel it's all for naught
When falling short from what we've sought.

Stagnating in complacency
We hold on most tenaciously
To limits of expectancy
For what we'll suffer change to be.

Our portraits in the attic wait
To frame the essence of our fate.
The chronicle of life is great
And Truth, through time, applies the paint.

Most will be shown with minor flaws -
Some, as affronts to norms and laws
But all, one day, will be displayed;
How will your likeness be portrayed?

Premium MemberNothing Gold Stays

Who can resist the strangulating grip of time?
That which exists today may not be there tomorrow
Like shooting stars which vanish in the flicker of an eye
Life comes and goes quicker than a darting arrow

The only constant in life is its inconstancy
With time, even our existence turns a myth
As every sunrise follows a sundown,
Each birth leads to an eventual death

In the fluidity of time, we are in a state of flux
So don’t obdurately hold anything in your arms
Instead loosen your grip and let things go
With the ease of water through your open palms

Every lovely flower that blossoms once
Fades in time and eventually turns to brown
Even a leaf that clings tenaciously to the tree
When autumn blasts strike, falls down

Impermanence being in the grand design of things
To nothing in this world, one can permanently cling
So, willingly give way to herald in the new,
As autumn leaves cannot be laundered for the spring!

Premium MemberDear Heart

Dear Heart,

I apologize
It was not your fault
Or mine
I had to hide you
shield you, protect you
unknowingly
allow you to harden
tinged by anger
scarred by hate
fearful of exposure
blinded by
the darkness
of another’s soul.

And yet you rose
Outgrew the bonds
Of fear, of doubt
Of shame
That was not yours
Broke free
To love again

Allowed yourself
To be loved

For you are stronger
More tenaciously heroic
more forgiving
Than I.

Standing for freedom’s supremacy
Legitimately granted to be enjoyed
I am the "Freedom Pub*"
Tenaciously upholding what I believe is lawful
Anchored by the Constitution
Which strongly buttresses this nation I am part of…

Speaking for humane practices
That exposes unlawful mandates
Imposed by the government
I am the "Freedom Pub"
And I refuse to discriminate against anyone
Who is fulfilling his/her granted role with peace.

With this declaration
I am the "Freedom Pub"
Inviting all to feast rightfully inside my building
Against fear of being segregated or neglected
While welcoming the vaccinated and unvaccinated
To dine in, celebrating good health… blest by the Almighty**.

A Note In the Wind - Nw

Together we stayed,
He took me in,
He embraced me,
A son of his troubled daughter,
She was saddled with life's changing faces,
She was cocooned by its tempest,
Cloaked into its midnight,
It was an unearthed love and a flowery relationship,
As time progressed our
 uncommon grounds began to unfold,
I was no more playing the role of his grandson,
I was encumbered with
tasks that stretched me to yield points,
He took decisions that hit me like a rock,
Like a bird on a wire ready to fly,
He threw a stone and I took flight,
For years we didn’t see but spoke a few times,
As I go on a walk,
A note filters into the wind,
I go down memory lane,
I see your face in the last picture I saw of you,
It dawned on me that you have gone beyond borders,
It became clearer that you
 have crossed to another side,
I beat myself for not seeing you before the call away,
The lessons you taught me still linger with me,
The hard way you made me
go through has made me hold tenaciously on to life,
Someday we'd come together again,
Apart life takes us to bring us yonder together.

Premium MemberThis Metaphor of Life

Alone, I amble through the garden dying
Mulling over the ending of another summer,
Realizing that all things have their season
Comes a sadness with the drooping stems
Petals lying on the ground like soft pebbles
Tenaciously hugging their fast-fading colors.

Do they remember being lovingly touched
Fondled upon the briary stem in passing,
Or is their life over, tossed aside in autumn
When their bloom has faded and cast off
Like we humans come to in our end times
Lying beneath the earth to rot unnoticed.

Seems a subject worthy of consideration
As I amble, alone, through this metaphor
Of life and its inevitable passing with time
To make way for other flowering youth,
Who will experience a casual adoration
Then fall away to be trampled underfoot.
