Breaking up the day into coffee and cabernet,
energy and relaxation, sunrise and sunset routines.

Sunrise coffee, percolating,
poured into four seasons.
As soon as the mug’s drained,
brush pearly teeth, slide frothy floss,
Touch the sky where the sun should be;
the reach of xanthous rays.
Leftover steam from coffee-up -
blow on the sky; blue hue.

Cabernet in late afternoon;
cerise-cheers at sunset.

My face, a vision, caught your loving gaze.
But it was your soul, so pure and wise,
That drew me in, and made my heart amaze.

Life was a canvas, painted with love's hue,
Until fate intervened, and our world anew.

our friendship and love

When I am and fall asleep 

Even my worst nightmares

As ill take them all day long

Rather than the reality I awaken up to

Because they are always the same

They never seemingly change

Teens glance

Buckets
Spill shells
Grandmas
Grandpa
Hold hands
Strolls slow

Sunset
Quiet
Seagulls
High call
Good night
Sleep ~ peace

From Sunrise To Sunset

Aurora begins collecting daybreak’s embers -
sparking them till sun has caught on fire.
If fortunate, we get to waken to blue skies
as sun rises higher and higher.

Brightly comes daylight – eventually fading
after its zenith has been reached.
Sun worshippers know very well
precious light by nightfall can’t be leeched.

Soon twilight unfurls vibrancy wondrously -
colors whose beauty can sometimes

Sunrise mingles with the clouds
     Casting shadows on the hills
          As song birds break the silence
               With their melodic morning trills.

Spring rain has now subsided

I stand here waiting on the sun.
The day seems short and nights are long
I'm left alone to ponder all I've done.
When every path I've taken turns out wrong.
Still I must press on to find my way
Through the deeping darkness of my past
I begin my journey come what may
My eyes must soon adjust to the contrast

She got up in the morning looking forward to an excellent day,
She would have brunch with her friends,
Meet her handsome prince each day,
This was a storybook kingdom where she lived,
They had boutiques with beautiful merchandise,
She thought how blessed she was,
Her favorite activity was the computer,
She would e-mail her relatives

          SUNRISE and SUNSET

                                          

Sunrise and Sunset-What Hand

Swirls of pink, caress purple hues
Who's brush strokes then did beauty choose.

What hand, what artist filled the sky
To set before admiring eyes.

Who dabbed the colour on tinted cloud,
No mortal has such skill endowed.

In all her glory, for all to see
Nature, donned her finery.
