You described it so beautifully that I thought you had been there Tom. Though from your comment below I see you haven't. I can assure you its well worth the trip. We speak of it as Ayers Rock more nowadays. your garland of Haiku describes it perfectly. Awesome write....Maria

Thank you Maria, sadly I have never seen it in real life but from what I've seen on TV and pictures it does look truly amazing. Who knows one day maybe.

Aptly done, haiku are difficult, but you made these look easy. I want to know if uluru has another meaning. Looking it up now, so you have stirred up curiosity here.

The Haiku are very descriptive of the nature's phenomenal display. I would imagine it would be beautiful in person. Thanks for the visit to my page. Sara

Inspired me again Tom, sadly of the ongoing devastation that is still going on in Australia, and of an abused culture, the Aborigines. Non the less your choice of haiku now hangs in my favorites gallery... Mick.

Thank you Mick, I wasn't aware things were still going on over there, but all over the world you have abuses of minority groups, it is indeed a sad world that we live in.
