Sunrise To Sunset Shadows
Sunrise mingles with the clouds
Casting shadows on the hills
As song birds break the silence
With their melodic morning trills.
Spring rain has now subsided
And flowers open in full bloom.
Ivy clings to the patio pergola
As weaving shadows softly loom.
Ficus spread their shadow shade
Underneath the noon day sun
And the school bell rings and
It's lunchtime meals for everyone.
Shadows form a second set of
Monkey bars as the children play.
The library across the street
Shades a bench in front display.
Sunset casts its twilight shadows
On draping trees in silhouette
And birds return to their cozy limbs
To roost as the skies turn violet.
Twilight is the most enchanting...
With a full moon and the starlight.
Coqui frogs begin to sing with crickets
'Neath shadowed trees in soft moonlight.
