Premium Member cakes fort he snakes

Red, the hot hedgehog baked strawberry short cakes
They were delicious, magnificent, she fed them to her snakes
Better than her chocolate sundaes, or her blueberry shakes.
Best recipe she has, said those satisfied snakes.

MARTIAN MUSINGS

On Mars, where skies are always red,
We dine on rocks and bake sunbread.
Our cows don’t moo, they hum a tune,
And we milk them straight by the light of the moon.

Our cities float on lakes of dust,
Our cars run on stardust (because they must!).
The traffic’s slow when comets swoop,
And UFOs stop for Martian soup.

Our dogs have wings; they bark in flight,
Chasing moons on a starry night.
Cats wear boots (it’s all the rage),
And read the news from a solar page.

We’ve no Mondays, only fun-days,
Work is banned; it’s all Sundaes.
Our clocks go backward, it’s a breeze,
Time is whatever we please!

So, Earthlings, visit, don’t delay,
We promise not to abduct today.
Just bring a laugh, no need for gold—
On Mars, it’s joy that makes us bold.

June Desserts-Poem by Juliet Tun maybe and David IOS Developer

The meadow lake glistening blue
The evening sunlight lilac beam
Blueberry sundaes a blue true
June desserts, we’re a team.

Premium Member age is over-rated

Age is over rated
I went from cute and cuddly
To terribly two
In the flip of a calendar
From being inquisitive
To being nosey
From pre-teen
To A TEENAGER
Meandered
Through the military
Into construction
And against the Vegas spread
Married
And became a father
AGE
That sly bastard
Has made me
A grandfather
And a great grandfather
I have taught them all
To spit, to curse,
To love
Even the seemingly
Un-lovable
Age has slowed me down
Stolen my fastball
It has not been able
To wither my wit
Stifle my laughter
Or contain my enthusiasm
I still laugh
Too loud and too often
Too frequently at the “wrong” things
The children and grandchildren
Share their “Papa stories”
Most include mud puddles
A few scars from the jungle bars
H U G E….ice cream sundaes
Getting hit by a baseball
He threw to show you
It wouldn’t hurt that much
To get hit by the pitch
I may be getting “old”
But age had better be ready
When I round third
Headed for home
He’d better be holding the ball
With both hands
Cuz there will be
A collision
Before I’m
Called… “OUT”

Premium Member Sundaes On A Sunday

Gooey, gooey treats
Filled with strawberry puree,
All laid out upon
Bowls of vanilla ice cream,
Topped with sundae cherries.

Premium Member Maybe Sometimes

I never eat ice cream Sundaes. On Mondays

Premium Member A Yummy Sundae Afternoon

A Yummy Sundae Afternoon
My tongue anticipates ice cream sundae
But do never indulge on a Monday
For that's the day the diet starts afore
Tuesday when diets fly out through the door.

I drool o'er yummy ice cream on my tongue
Thoughts of the tasty dish makes me so long
For strawberries served at afternoon tea
In a gooey knickerbocker glory.

With chopped nuts sprinkled and strawberry sauce
Those ice cream sundaes could win an award
With me they would be scored top of the pops
I am an expert as I devour lots.

Summer parties do well serving ice cream
Strawberries and chilled wine, truly a dream
With music, dancing, a natter and fun
Bringing magic moments beneath the sun.

Betwixt lucky lips my eager tongue licks
A mouth watering afternoon dish fix.

Cabin Fever Conversations With My New Friend

sometimes in the midst of life
i can sometimes be so lost in myself
i lose sight of such a beautiful treasure
while sleeping one day, God woke me up
He told me to take my blinders off and forget MY normalcy

choosing unselfishness, i ask about her children
choosing thoughtfulness, i ask about what else brings her joy
choosing to refocus, i ask about her other favorite things
choosing the inner enjoyment of it all, i just listen to the resulting anecdotes
learning from the overall conclusion, i Thank God for Intervening

the tears slowly flow when i realize that i never really knew my New Friend
consoling me, she begins to ask me the same questions
it is when i saw her tears flowing that i discover that i was not alone
our apologies are expressed by our newfound openness
our acceptance of each others' apologies comes when we ultimately forgive ourselves

the dust is now settled
all the smoke has been cleared
all eyes are now clear and dry
forgiveness has now bee officially confirmed
it is time to finally try the butterscotch sundaes, the white chocolate chip cookies, and the vanilla almond milk

Premium Member A Party Called Life

Bouncing off Sara Kendrick’s List:

The tap show on the kitchen floor.
Busy, wasn’t keeping score.
For the error to expunge.
Daughter’s friend, I handed a sponge.

A going away party - fun!
Ice cream sundaes, not in the sun.
Not a great idea indoors.
Kids started a food flight - a war.

The bedroom door knocked on and down.
My son must fix - send in the clowns.
My husband knocks later - it falls.
Fix failed with huge nails through the wall.

Premium Member She Is a Flobbergooser

She is a vixen, a siren, a flobbergooser, a tramp.
Because she wears a dress? I asked, confused.
Because she wears a red dress.
There are answering murmurs.
I am working on the Alzheimer’s unit
This is the first thing these three women have agreed on.

Don’t look at her! Don’t speak to her! Don’t…..
“HI!” Doris says as the flobbergooser approaches our table.
Her dress is gorgeous – red with tiny pink and yellow birds.
She has the best smile, and she returns the “hi”.
They decide to include her; she sits at the fourth chair.
I hear them oohing and ahhing about her dress.

So is she a vixen? A siren? A tramp? A flobbergooser?
I smile as I fix them hot fudge sundaes.
“You are a femme fatale!” One yells out.
The others nod.
The red-dressed woman smiles.
“At least I’m not a flobbergooser!” She yells.
They laugh until they fall into their hot fudge sundaes.
Best place ever to work.

Premium Member Playing With My Shadow

Playing with my shadow, I was perhaps about seven.

I had shiny pennies in my pocket,  I think about
eleven.

I can still hear their sweet, glorious ring!

I was going to the candy store to purchase those
red, rope licorice things.

Harold, the owner,  loved us with his wavy gray hair.

He'd stand  behind the glass, while we chose our candies....delicacies, scrumptious and fair.

He has a marble soda fountain, too.

If we wanted fresh ice cream sundaes, too.

The healing, summer breeze from sweet decades long since past.

The  church-bells of Saint Mary's Cathedral that in
my heart forever will last!

That calligraphy of days long ago.

In life's timeless precious river, I cherish you so!

Soft red and white checkered tablecloth.
Round table, metal chairs with cushions.
Under a dashing, dark green umbrella.
Chocolate sundaes with nuts, add fresh whipped cream.
This is my delicious, vey special summer dream!

                         such sweating, sultry summer

Houston We Have a Lollipop

Houston, we have a lollipop
Peppermint Patty is outside the airlock
The lemon drops are handy and dandy
Secure as Loony tunes on the moon
Tasty as caramel popcorn parties
The Eagle has landed
That's one small step for man
And one giant leap for candy kind
Be gentle to your rainbows and unicorns
Kiss my wife and kids goodbye
And billy goats too if you find them
Kiss your jellybeans twice if they collide
With cotton or chocolate meteorites
Ground control we're stepping outside
Tootsie rolls are calling us on
To sweet flavored carpet ride smiles
Colored in nature by bubble gum tides
Floating on sugar coated cosmic waves
Fluffy white bunnies circle in orbit
In powdered sweet dreams of delight
Be kind to your lambs if they land
Happy happy joy joy, happy happy joy joy
Please, pretty please send some happy baked cheesecake
Whip up some hot fudge sundaes with a cherry on top
Houston, we have a problem
We need more lollipops soon or we will hold our breath
Turn blueberry blue forever
Or fall asleep, whichever comes first
Depending on the weather

Premium Member Home Is

Home is where the heart is, home is where the love is
Love's the greatest emotion known, that ain't no myth
Surpasses ice cream sundaes
Or gloomy bloody Mondays
Home is the cuddliest place to sit with a naked nymph
