SELF PRESERVATION......MY SUIT OF ARMOUR

Premium Member Black Ant

This tiny sinister creature
lives in suit of armour.
The workers everywhere are seen,
obedient to the queen.

She is mother of everyone
and each of them a clone.
Her darling daughters kept sterile
so never are fertile.

Their duty is as spinster there,
never a male to share.
Their role in life, a non-event.
Each one is but servant.

The Human Body

A human body is a sheathly
suit of armour.
Whereupon it shields
its soul and other
luminous, feathery bodies
of inhumane and devilsh works.
To only leave
its inner forms
glistening a brightly new.

This is no secret, I say.
As this very message
is hidden in
sacred books that are
written for worshiping
our Glorious Father.
Whose Righteous and
Mighty Head
remains unmatched
by every kind
of creature in
life and for the new
life to come.

Miscalculation

Kenetic examples of wildlife are enjoyed after sipping green teas. But antelope sway at dusk. So be wary of teapots in tree houses. Gooseberries are often found loitering in desert yachts whilst porcupines are oblivious to sugar beet. Many an octopus are said to be humbled by the wandering lettuce but hieroglyphs are but a portal to mushy peas. A halibut always talks very very very slowly. The clock yawns. The bell grins. Please be aware that very playful ants in hats coats and shirts can cause great havoc in a bistro. Wreaking a great godly view to an unjustified pillar. A suit of armour would be rather ashamed at such antics. So one must gather molluscs for a stew in the lands of the giant amphibians. Dandelions on a bed of corn flour often tell stories of ancient snow clouds while orangutans can bury many coffee beans. Unforgotten is the tirade of the slouching shrimp in a teapot of sponge. And a galvanised pediatrician is not allowed to ponder on a two hundred foot pedestal. Ok. And a misjudged mishap mayhem moving movements monstrously. Hahahaha now eat a donut hahahaha and a toast of course. Xxxx havens heaping have xxxx miscalculation z.

(Tongue planted firmly in cheek)

In spite of my loving nature

In spite of being an Olympic skater

In spite of my charming way with the ladies

And my absolute love of wee babies

In spite of having a voice that rocks

And looks so dashing wearing just socks

In spite of my hair that's a silvery white

And a tan that doesn't rub off every night

In spite of a fabulous smile I possess

And stunning good looks, yup you guessed

Though I do admit I've got a naughty side

Some of the above, well I might have lied

Especially about looking good in just socks

People at times, they yell and throw rocks

But that doesn't phase me, I know I'm a charmer

Perhaps I should wear a steel suit of armour

It'a all in fun, I'm not really a looker

Forgot to mention, I'm real good at snooker

Love, Mania, and Verse

Love, Mania, and Verse

The pendulum swings,
while the mania in my head,
strips me bare and yanks me,
into the cauldron of love.

Once again,
never divining the tea leaves,
knowing, always knowing,
the gnawing knots of unease,
that curl into a fist.

My isolation is a shield,
a suit of armour,
tightly clad around my self,
once worn,
then discarded,
taking its place,
on my barren shelf.

Love, mania and verse,
coalesce, beseeching me,
with timeous forewarning,
not to tread into the quicksand,
that slippery bog of promise.

Yet,
in times past,
in moments present,
tis' that very promise,
that I cling to.

At times I lose,
myself in the crowd,
rebelling in the solitude found there,

at times I claw,
my way back to the now,
aching for the pain that stings,

the buried voice that sings,
dirges to forgotten emotions,

scribbled verse that flings,
the toys out of my cot,

while I wait,
for the mania to stop,

knowing,
always knowing,
that it shall be,

merely a matter of time,
before the other shoe,
must, as always,
drop.

Premium Member A Knight of Passion

In days of old,
ye knights were bold
And Dragons roamed the land
Sir Lancelot, he was a knight
And Fought with Sword in hand
White horse he rode
With his lance
A shiny suit of armour
Beware this knight, the story goes
He really is a charmer!
Now one fine day, he saw a lass
And whispered in her ear
A shock he got, when she revealed
I’m lady Guinevere
In love they fell
Before too long
Merlin cast a spell
While hunting out one afternoon
The king, black knight would tell
Black knight ‘s plan
Came alight
When Lancelot was banished
Shed a tear, did Guinevere
When she learned he’d vanished.
Now this legend
Hath been told
A morale doth contain
Keep your lance, tucked in your pants
And save yourself the pain!

Porcupine Romance

Porcupine Romance

Ouch ¡

Carefully does it

Practice French kissing a cactus first

Ouch !

The last tango in Paris was never like this

Get it
French
Paris
kissing a cactus ( Porcupine humour )

Ouch !

What a fool I was to buy her roses

As if I didn’t have enough to contend with

Ouch !

Do they sell aerosol cans of instant easy foam

In porcupine sex shops

Yeeouch !

Did she just do that on purpose

No wonder there aren’t that many of us

Why wasn’t I born a hedgehog

Its no wonder I am attracted to squirrels

When will they invent the missionary position

Gnnnnmmmmpp

No its ok honey it didn’t hurt

Yes I know my love that quill is really long

Crying no….me no… I just have something in my eye

What do you mean you’re attracted to gerbils
Try using a prophylactic

A flaming suit of armour would be more like it

Awww honey come on I didn’t mean it

Gives us a kiss

Ouch !

You Never Loved Me

Oftentimes I do confess
I would attest that you were the best
It appears that this was a delusion ,
Our love was just an illusion.

Your feelings seemed so intense
You didn't credit me with much common sense
How could I be so dense!

You brought me roses whenever we would meet,
I thought you were wonderful, kind and sweet
But you pulled the rug from under my feet.

I was your puppet and you my master,
I did not forsee impending disaster,
Your suit of armour didn't have achink
What was I to think?

I thought your terms of endearment were true,
I didn't have a clue
Until you left me for someone new.

No Glove No Love

suits of armour
to protect this heart of glass
for it has been
broken
and put back together
piece by piece
with super glue
in the past
and this is the last time
because this suit of armour
will block your blows
and send them back
three times full
this suit of armour
is built ford tough
made of iron
and steel
smart enough
to call your bluff
stronger than i have
ever been
only if and only when
i meet the one
and let him in
to drop my heart
on the ground again
there is no more glue
to mend this heart of mine
and the pieces have been worn so very thin
i wear this suit of armour
to protect what is within

Mother's Day Poem- Carolyns Sonnet

Beauteous mother earth
You have followed the tradition
Mother that hath given birth
Raising us well was your ambition
Holding my hand through the hardest of transitions

Loving lady
Sleepless nights we made unnerving
some of our escapades taht seem shady
For all the love and care, we are undesrving

Compassion
As a suit of armour it is your fashion

In wild unknown country, y ouve reaped and sown
Working to the bone
A farmer
Nurturing this disastrous weed into a flower

Memories of the past
Cut knees, celiac disease, screaming please
Although I do grow fast
No matter my age
In my continuous book of my life
Words of wisdom you shared are imprinted on the pages
How to be strong in a world full of strife
