Sunshine Sea
Sunlit Sea
Undulates
Nobly
Shimmering
Heaven sent
In
Never
Ending
Submersive
Elated
Adorant

I had a glass of tea
Then stood beside the sea
I touched the waters edge
And jumped the beaches ledge
I swam almost a mile
Then gave away a smile
I feel I'll dive again
Because I'm sure to win
With luck when I am home
I will not need a comb
Not moving at all
Just being stationary
Caught
In a constant unmoving
Wave
Left without
Desire
Having no
Motivation
Just going to have to except
My situation
For I am
Submerged
In this deep
Ocean
Dipping into Beowulf with Grendel,
and Chaucer's Canterbury Tales;
Wading into Paradise with Milton,
then submerging with the Bard:
Sinking deep into Lear and Othello
Hamlet and Macbeth, trying not to
drown. Rapidly surfacing to the
Tempest! gulping some fresh air.
Now sailing toward the Five Romantics,
In Xanadu did Kublai Khan...
Water, water, everywhere!
and so many drops to drink...
Poetry aficionados reside on dry land,
Yet life, fully savored, lies deep in ocean sands.
Let it engulf me.
Stand naked
while it showers,
raining down heat.
Forget about the time,
just drown.
Just drown them
in the wetness
that are tears,
let the pain
wash the pain away.
Just another way
to medicate.
