We Don'T Need No Stinking Contests

We Don’t Need No Stinking Contests

Contests! Contests! We don’t really need them!
Stupidness, silliness, it burns all my brainstems.

“Throw them out! To the archives do feed them!”
We’ll be better off, just enjoying to read them.

Judging judges with critical grudges,
My work is my art, not a platform for blunders!

Eat me, chew me, then repeat on reverse gear!
Who says I’m no good! When I could be the next Shakespeare!

“Contests! Contests! We don’t need no stinking contests!”
So, I win some, I lose some, nobody could careless!
“Yes, I’m Thee poet, because I know it”,
Now read my submission and let me show it!

Voting in November
By Franklin Price

Voting in November
Is a very scary thing
Especially for the president
What will either of them bring?

He is quite outspoken
To the point of stupidness
Due to investigations
Her position is a mess

To have belief in either
And what they have to say
Could have us regretting voting
And maybe even rue the day

Both have followed process
As they've risen to the top
The parties are quite ignorant
Is there a way to make this stop?

The House and Senate much to blame
Parties would not cross the aisle
Bound by their establishments
Their actions just a pile

For years have gotten nothing done
Standing in the way the choice
Incumbents choosing nothing
And the public has no voice

This is how we've gotten here
Could be headed for the dump
By voting for the Hillary
Or the far outspoken Trump

Make a choice and hope the best
But don't refuse to poll
Then you have no say at all
Which is the politician's goal

Premium Member House In the Storm

The storm wages on within the dark sky
Dark grey clouds have erupted there within
Rain does spurt downward nailing the soft ground
Damaging that of nature and my skin

It’s hard to see ahead to that old house
With just a single dim light on upstairs
To frighten those onlookers in the dark
Evil seems to ooze out of the yard lairs

Lightning strikes illuminating the yard
I see only grass there, nothing special
Nothing fearful was expressly shown there
The imagination is quite loyal

I was ashamed that I thought bad was there
It was only a place of happiness
Beauty was here even in the downpour
I stand in the rain, with real stupidness

Always the rain brings interest deep inside
Whether or not it’s near a house that’s strange
Or in a field of grass that looks so fine
I love the rain, the glory on the range

Confess

I sometimes look at people
like they must have two heads

The things they say, the things they do
retard is the best address

like idiots they complain, obnoxious
and they're rude...

...and they look at us like we are stupid
when thier own stupidness eludes...

Whilst driving approaching a pedestrian...
A man he waits to cross...

The idiot behind parps his horn,
and mouths to me hurry up!

Now the man that is crossing is
by no means a dwarf...

The idiot behind cant see...

But by now his mind has morphed...

So I lower my car window -

...and I give him the salute!

Sending him a very clear message...
what he can do with his little toot...

Desk

It is too much to read too many books and close them,
Even good books are rubbish because they finish.
I'm not Finnish, no.
But we are finished.
He destroyed everything with his mind
Broke it down to pieces which made no sense to me.
Now I have had the time to look at myself
Gratifying his words like a hamster and chewing his stupidness.
I can't see as well.
It really makes no difference to me anymore,
He is the one who has lost me.
It's just that now this I can see.
I could never be more real, so he has ruined me again I feel.
