Stripped Down Poems

Stripped Down

"Stripped Down"

Stripped down
the external shed,
snakes aren’t what you think

stripped down
the external shed,
skins hung on a beam

overhead,
hanging souls
and their fangs

penetrating

Stripped down,
you hear me now?
Stripped down

inside
outside,
upside down

Stripped down,
what you looking at now?
Reflection

inside
Light,
outside

power

Premium MemberLittle Miss Vivi

Little Miss Vivi
Stripped down to her skivvies,
Got under a quilt in the cold.

And just like our daughter,
Won’t wear what we bought her,
Or that’s the story, I’m told.

At least Vivi’s mamma
Keeps on her pajamas
Since she’s past thirty years old.

Premium MemberJolly Saint Nick

It was late Christmas Eve
When awakened by a noise
I was hoping it was Santa
With a hefty bag of toys

Peeking from my bedroom
Caught a vision really wild
Santa covered all in tinsel
And giggling like a child

He spun around the floor
As if nothing else to lose
Stripped down to his boxers
Wearing ballerina shoes

Still whirling like a dervish
I guess he couldn't see
After tripping on the sofa
He crashed into our tree

But still he kept on laughing
As though a great big joke
He then lit up his pipe
And blew out a cloud of smoke

There was such a pungent odor
I could tell it wasn't holly
It smelled like Maui Wowie
No wonder he's so jolly

Broken Fences

My senses are over run
You’ve distorted every one
Now my emotions sit on fences
Unsure how to fend offences

How my eyes tend to deceive
Peripheral sightings I believe
You are the corners of my vision
The cause of my internal division

Your taste is everlasting
My reason for desperate fasting
A scent that hits me like a train
Still, I can’t help but inhale again

I hear your laugh in other rooms
And when my still heartbeat resumes
I find them empty in the dark
Wanting your light, just a spark

You always seem just out of reach
I don’t dare of hope to breach
I know you’re not at my fingertips
I swear they feel your fading lips

My senses are forever yours
Gone with why’s and wherefores
Stripped down to my defenses
Fallen off of broken fences

Warmth

warmth brings out the best
everything stripped down
bare and about to bloom

I see it in your eyes
the ways they smile
in the morning sun

you walk slowly by
swaying with grace
in the meadow's dew

running clear
the river silhouettes you
as day caresses the mood

Premium MemberFun: Trumps Fired

“I’m fired” are the simple words he spoke,
While sitting in a cold oval room,
“I’m fired” are thoughts that dribbled on down,
Amongst all the doom and the gloom,

In an office void of any real people,
An office now stripped down to bare,
An office where good had been stripped from the wall,
Now nobody good was there,

He sat there alone nobody to blame,
Amongst hundreds of thousands of dead,
And he looked in the mirror at nothing at all,
And “I’m fired” are the words that he said.

Dull Colours

stripped down hunter version
painted matt black all over
no black box tech
just a pilot and a gun sight

dodging from cloud waiting to nail you
lightweight aerial killer
even then 20 tons of metal
5 lighter than her sisters

three dimensional sky dance
this pilot knows all the tricks
his jet is a ballerina
nothing he can't do with it

by hand and eye alone
beating anyone and anything
god's own pilot
no co-pilot needed

dark painted killer
aggressor trainer plane
early build version non combat capable
today the pilot flew

took his black jet to battle
he claimed an indian su30
and an italian typhoon
flying by feel and 6 dials

old skool like boelcke or ball
old air skills 120 years ago
do whatever it takes
shoot them in the back

unseen kill
but if seen
turn into the attack
fly right at him

line up and fire
don't ever flinch or you die
always fly and fight to win
even in a damaged jet

if ramming your enemy gets a kill
do it and do not blink
if you die we will remember you
aggressor pilot in a stripped down f35

Premium MemberSkinny Dip

There was a woman who thought she was hip.
She went to the beach to skinny dip.
When she arrived there.
She stripped down to bare.
The crab had a very strong grip.

Premium MemberLord, Terraform My Art

Lord, Terraform My Art!

Who terraforms thoughts I love best,
In vacuumed orbit that man sees,
I'm comet stripped down to the bone
Scant issue to reflect, divest,
That sun might warm or fool call own,
What solar winds want to imbue
Grace (gravity alone decrees)
Is more than what I'm worth or due.

These huddled stones (I think this fair),
Are mine alone to offer life,
To claim or bastardize at will
Their clothing I alone prepare,
Their blood is mine to save or spill,
But lend an ear if you will Sir,
Though no man's sure of home or wife,
A rhyme can soothe philosopher.

Would You

Scrolling and scrolling
the scripts slipping in
seduction of the scene
seen or unseen

deflection
not to mention reflection
mirrors don't always appear
to be or not to be

drastic times call for drastic measures
an ideal idiom of sorts
depending on who's cause
effects the cohorts

a false dichotomy on decline
no one gets to run or hide
even they can't pick a side
________________

I digress as I undress the distress
and distraugt being taught
but is any of this right
why is there always a fight

I'd rather spread peace
and love
not push, not shove

so in the shadow of hate
I simply wait
stripped down and nude
join me, would you?

Caged For You

STRIPPED DOWN
BARE
CUT TO THE QUICK
MY HEART
FRAGILE AND SINEWY
MY BRITTLE BONES
ACHE
STIFF AND HOLLOW
A BUTTERFLY CAUGHT
PINNED INSIDE THE GLASS.

At Night

this is the moment after the loss,
the garden as heavy as a standing horse,
as a frozen moon hangs like a buoy at ebb

north is the direction of winter,
a stripped.down world before the crawl

i hear your letting down of the shutters,
your steps tired up the stairs

Premium MemberIt's Time To Start Again

It's time to start again
When every thing is lost and nothing can be found

One moment in time, there you are stripped down
Your spirit, body and mind

Nothing should distract you
Your future resting in your hands
You already have the tools you need
Just be careful how you shape it

Rise from the ashes and spread your wings
Fly in a new direction, be bold
Time for new begginnings

Learn to give love, recieve love and be grateful for all things

Slow Hands Can'T Rest

Slow hands can't rest
stripped down anticipation
still holding intoxication
dripped from sweet lips

Words whipped with lemon tips
free float in wayward winds
fingers grasped gentlly touched
a zestful reprise entwined

Moved with the morning dew
falling deeper into you
awaiting a pleasing glimpse
a kiss carressed sips leveling
every part of a misted me

Premium MemberMunching On Munchies

Once knew a gal from Geneva
Downed the biggest glass of tequila
Stripped down to her undies
While munching on munchies
Next day she claimed she had amnesia
