On the Edge

Dirty hands and dirty hearts,
Dirty tricks and poison darts,
All stripped down and used for parts.
On the edge is where life starts.

Caged For You

STRIPPED DOWN
BARE
CUT TO THE QUICK
MY HEART
FRAGILE AND SINEWY
MY BRITTLE BONES
ACHE
STIFF AND HOLLOW
A BUTTERFLY CAUGHT
PINNED INSIDE THE GLASS.

Skinny Dip

There was a woman who thought she was hip.
She went to the beach to skinny dip.
When she arrived there.
She stripped down to bare.
The crab had a very strong grip.

Speechless

words are scared, gather
behind the tongue. feelings
are flung thisway & that-
defeat themselves, fall
flat. i don't know you any-
more, stripped down to
your core, trembling,
barely here.

What

My mind's eye keeps playing tricks on me
If i could express it in words
Id tell you I feels like i have lost something
Now i am starting to question whether i ever had it all
But without it i somehow feel stripped down and vulnerable
What am I ?

Little Miss Vivi

Little Miss Vivi
Stripped down to her skivvies,
Got under a quilt in the cold.

And just like our daughter,
Won’t wear what we bought her,
Or that’s the story, I’m told.

At least Vivi’s mamma
Keeps on her pajamas
Since she’s past thirty years old.

At Night

this is the moment after the loss,
the garden as heavy as a standing horse,
as a frozen moon hangs like a buoy at ebb

north is the direction of winter,
a stripped.down world before the crawl

i hear your letting down of the shutters,
your steps tired up the stairs

Warmth

warmth brings out the best
everything stripped down
bare and about to bloom

I see it in your eyes
the ways they smile
in the morning sun

you walk slowly by
swaying with grace
in the meadow's dew

running clear
the river silhouettes you
as day caresses the mood

Slow Hands Can'T Rest

Slow hands can't rest
stripped down anticipation
still holding intoxication
dripped from sweet lips

Words whipped with lemon tips
free float in wayward winds
fingers grasped gentlly touched
a zestful reprise entwined

Moved with the morning dew
falling deeper into you
awaiting a pleasing glimpse
a kiss carressed sips leveling
every part of a misted me

It's Time To Start Again

It's time to start again
When every thing is lost and nothing can be found

One moment in time, there you are stripped down
Your spirit, body and mind

Nothing should distract you
Your future resting in your hands
You already have the tools you need
Just be careful how you shape it

Rise from the ashes and spread your wings
Fly in a new direction, be bold
Time for new begginnings

Learn to give love, recieve love and be grateful for all things

Snaring

While delaying gratification,
you stripped-down
to bones.

It was winter solstice,
when day and night confronted
each other-

in negativity. Tracking
the frozen footprints, my absence
was generic.

I dread the barrenness-
of looks, the unwritten wounds
seeking the healer.

The avalanche falling
rapidly on the streets, with placards
demanding the gallows-

for the tainted. The
victim lies still. Ashes fly
back at the purebreds.

Sagging Balls

I stripped down to my skivvies
Revealing all flab
Something is sagging
I think it's my BALLS
MAN! am I bummed
Can't examine the rear
Who would laugh
but the kids drinking beer
Their's are nice and firm
While ours is dragging skin
The bulge on my weenie
is old age coming in
When I go to the john
the diaper is smelly
especially the parts
that connect to the belly
When worse comes to worse
My uncle makes house calls
To the old and weary
geezers with sagging balls
