Shines would soon be taken off poetry,
When machines replace humans as judges,
By then wisdom will have fled human minds,
Making AI seem more intelligent.
Poems churned out will then be wishy-washy,
Since standout ones will have been discarded,
As machine junks — confirmed by machines,
So undeseving of recognition.
As more and more inferior works are praised,
At the detriment of discarded fine ones,
Our brains will adapt to produce more junk,
And our age will be known for poorer arts.
But are AI-written poems hard to spot?
When all they write is devoid of feeling,
A mimicry of professionalism,
Yet widely accepted as genuine.

Nice faces get old one day
But good behaviour last a lifetime
Love beautiful people not beautiful faces.
Intelligence attracts curiosity
With good behaviour the more you standout
People willing to support your endeavors.
Strive to be yourself in anyway you can
There's more to praise than being original
Every person is unique in its own way.
Being knowledgeable is one thing
There's grand reward for being great
Being faithful is worth everything.

Everybody can dance
But being a graceful dancer
Makes you standout
I have seen one like this
When i visited intramural
Of my yongest daughter
There's a dance competition
The move is simple but beautiful
Yet, her grace was enormous
Graceful moves so they say
It's good to watch, not boring
It's entertaining because
She bring dance into life
Seems like flow with the music
Body softness and timing
She's happy the way she dance
I just known that she's good
In dance and in class too.

A latticework of frozen sky
sharply defines iced over arboreal statues,
sleeping tree-figures
now dressed in glittering white.
The fields are sunken in chill mists,
magpies forage through the stiff rags of scarecrows,
their black and white plumage
separating shadows from light.
All is bordered by background shapes.
I walk along a windswept wooden fence,
coat flapping loosely like blackbird wings,
in this whiteout I also standout,
painted as I am,
by the rapid sketches of my breath.

Sun-flagrant, a flashed tigress
Gaze-blazing, brazen.
This beauty species he shuns.
And to Shy Wood runs.
Doey eyed, in dappled light;
Which, doe-like, stepped out
Through gentlest coaxing words, with
A sweet demure noise.
Thence charmed away by its poise.
Womankind's standout!

We used to have buttermilk
and Austrian white wine
from Safeways
and used to buy 2nd hand Prog from Beanos
The years have sped by
and I'm not recalling any standout shop now
Unless you include the durable Buddist centre
Toothless gaps in the town square
The Whitgift Centre is half empty
Samsung Mobile shop is closed
The years have not been very Kind
The sound of laughter is removed

My reaper came calling at twenty to seven
And now I stand here in what might just be heaven
The passage before me so long and so bright
And voices that whisper, ‘come into the light’
I pondered my life and it’s most standout features
I’m glad I was loving to most of God’s creatures
I even had fondness for spiders and bats
But brought a swift ending to gnats, moles and rats
I vaguely recall that I passed through a gate
Where questions were asked of ‘before I was late’
I think old Saint Pete found me awkward and surly
When I asked him why his gate isn’t all pearly
I asked if it’s true that I’ll meet former loves
And be flown on the wings of two perfect white doves
To take me to family, friends, dogs and cats
I repented my treatment of gnats, moles and rats
Two crows then flew into the light with a squark
If I was to follow then I’d have to walk
But I longed to meet old familiar faces
So into the light, my first faltering paces
My welcome committee stood dark ’gainst the light
I yearn to see many I once held so tight
I long to see family, friends, dogs and cats
But find myself glared at by gnats, moles and rats

If I could have one tree in the garden
It'd be a sculpted tree with white roses
The women, Beautiful and elegant in their stature,
would be the white roses that blossom earnestly.
Like branches frolicking in the twisting wind,
the men would solemnly standout
And I would be like a humble branch that has yet to bear fruit.
My ancestors, still anonymous where they lay
would be the unseen roots that firmly surveyed the land.
If I could have one tree in the garden
It'd have a couple of uninvited guests;
Weaving birds and African bees among many.
Flocks of wild geese would skim through tree
tops as they leave in search of fen lands.
If I could have one tree in the garden
It'd provide a shed to the homeless man from the blazing sun.
If I could have one tree in the garden
It'd be majestic for all people to see.

Sitting at a bus shelter
hoodie baby, skinny, drab,
denim-discount.
She could be a female me fifty years ago.
Elfin face, the nose ring an ugly brand,
then again I'm an old bull - my nose ring
is invisible.
The kid has a standout feature of mine;
alien eyes that always must seek out more alien eyes.
She's been staring at empty walls lately,
I can tell, I’ve been staring
at those same walls.
I am guessing the weight of her solitude will increase.
I hope she finds someone to be with,
to share the load.
I want to tell her that life
outgrows itself, blooms and becomes.
Yet I know she will see through my lies -
she has my eyes.

So as the fauna flakes into flasks and the distance is at ease,
so as the forgotten fallen ones are at peace and you and your life are crease,
so as the harrowing start and a seasonal bar goes into the yonder park,
and an endimony of our presentation is falling into desert art-
I am pleading that you start speaking to them all in a heart-
I am donned to be peaking as I am just about to fall off the energy's leaving one little diamond in the war-
I said I wanted to fight, and became broken in the hallway,
it's O.K, I am only as ready as the unrealized baseness of seeing the future so stark,
let's let them off as we go because I have no other wool, and the only history of time is the glittering wine in the standout cottage on stage street where I round-about all hairy lore,
stupid as I can't breathe the only time I say please is honorary a beast so let's wonder about the finishing touches now heavenly and...

OCEAN BOTTOM VIEWED-
On that day my soul grew midstream, midstream;
I threw my Antarctic upon the floor;
They are perfumed from unseen sunken breams;
There Venusians underscored treasures;
Act all that’s from out my heart does measures;
Oceans surrounding submissive pleasures;
~
I heard domestic, marine oiling;
My smallmouth bass, I could not awaken;
Seas crave the endogenous, temps boiling;
Sharp tooth sharks swim for fish for the taken;
Darken shadowed waters covered stricken;
Sea starfish broke dead floating silken;
~
In their stepped a vibratory sea bass;
Shark bite, I crave the saturnine south seas;
An echo from ocean floor hollered back;
Above and below ocean mangrove trees;
Also threw my whiting on the shore of seas;
Was a standout, breakout stout watery breeze?
~
When thinking of underwater ocean
Acts seaweed in liquid torrent motion?

All my life, it seems
although I had my dreams,
I had no standout wish -
something absolutely necessary to accomplish.
The goals of my life
were ordinary: be a wife;
have children; now, write poetry!
With nothing grand to be,
I choose life’s paths aimlessly,
floating as if to sea!
