Premium Member Please Note

A recent poem l posted raised some negative feelings within me
About myself …. leaving me feeling annoyed
As l felt l had to write a “Please Note” on it
Explaining my poems intention….so false judgement l would avoid!

My poem topics are always varied
Though writing about human nature, traits ,feelings, l do enjoy
l was falsely accused of writing poems about another poet
Soupmails sent to many … telling of my underlying ploy

What was said about me is so far from the truth
Never would l write about any individual mean-spiritedly or be unkind
It is mean, hurtful, and serves no purpose
It is the furtherest thought from my mind

My poems are about my life experience
Uncomplicated, simple and that is all
If you see yourself in my words
That is on you and solely your call

So, to be quite clear ‘l do not’ write mean poems about P.S. poets
There will be no future “ Please Notes” to explain
Believe it or not …..Judge if you want
As your slanted opinion of me l will no longer entertain

Premium MemberTHE GIRL ON THE MONKEY BARS

As a gymnast with zestful glee
Going to and fro she likes to flee
Climbing up then down freely
Swinging herself wondrously
Showing off to pet monkey she does see on the tree.

With jubilant and vibrant spree
There she is, very mobile as she can be
Exercising faith* spiritedly and enthusiastically
Hopping with pull-ups, strengthening knee
Mimicking pet monkey, assisting her at the counts of one-two-three.

*Mark 11:22 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.

Premium MemberPRAISE BE TO GOD WHO GIVES US REST

April 13 Praises to God Bible Meditations Based on 1Kings 5-7

Key Verse – 1Kings 5:4 But now the LORD my God hath given me rest on every side, so that there is neither adversary nor evil occurrent.

PRAISE BE TO GOD WHO GIVES US REST

Praise be to God for giving us rest:
Refreshing us with His optimistic peacefulness
Restrengthening us midst occurring problems
Reenergizing us against opportunistic plans
Relieving us along His offered provisions
Reinforcing us optimum persistence

1Kings 6:11-12 Praise be to the Lord Who
performs His Word with us:
Steadfastly along His might
Sturdily upon His moves
Spiritedly by His mercy
Scripturally midst His miracles
Skillfully through His magnificence

1Kings 7:51 Praise be to the Saviour for enabling us
to enjoy the treasures of His house, since we are His:
Dedicated servants
Diligent stewards
Determined soulwinners
Disciplined soldiers
Duty-bound salvation-seed sowers. Amen!

Premium MemberSoul Settled In the Saviour

Slip, my soul, as sunset into the sea ---
settled to stay serenely shining
shaded by the Saviour’s starlight
shielded against stain of sin-sting sorrow
scintillating spiritedly.

Seeking succor from sufferings and strife
soul of mine, slip as sunset into the sea ---
surrounded with Sovereign solitude
secured midst salvation’s surety
subdued from stubborn self-centeredness.

Sweetly savouring satisfaction of sincere service
sufficed by the Supreme Shepherd*
sealed soul, slip steadfastly, as sunset into the sea ---
silenced against slothfulness-shouts with sleep’s solace
safely sheltered toward tomorrow’s steadfast stewardship.

*Psalm 23:1 The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
Psalm 23:3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

Beside River Silent Rhythm

silent
the night

the rhythm
in the dark
breeze

no visible
but a touching
makes a hug
spiritedly

crossing
the pebbles
the surf
comes to the bared legs

the wave
smiling from the far dark
in dim playing
of one chord music

Premium MemberPraise Expression

Joyously, I worship You, my God, for Your grace midst my salvation.
With Your justification, You declared me righteous, beyond Satan’s objection…
Your Word wrought my redemption with Your Holy Spirit's conviction
Marking me as Your child due to Your decree of adoption.
Now, I praise* You with triumphant gratitude and jubilation!!!

Gloriously, I worship You, my Lord, for Your power of omnipotent capacity.
By Your transformation might, You are perfecting me toward maturity…
Your victory settled my glorious future, sealed by Your immutability
Making me testify graciously about Your majestic authority.
Now, I praise You, obeying You with Your help that’s mighty!!!

Spiritedly, I worship You, my God, for Your blessings, timely every moment.
In Your generosity, You enrich me, Your heir with steward's commitment…
Your provision-grants supply me along contentment's entitlement
Meeting all my needs against dissatisfaction predicament.
Now, I praise You with all my best offerings of love-driven involvement!!!

*Psalm 109:30 I will greatly praise the LORD with my mouth; yea, I will praise him among the multitude.

Joyful Jack Is Jumping Now

J-oyful Jack is jumping now,
A-s he celebrates his birth;
C-reating a thousand thrill,
K-een heart beats in mirth.
M-erry Jack is jumping now,
H-aving a jovial mood;
A-fter the sadness is gone,
R-apture is brought to the
D-ude.

P-layful Jack is jumping now,
A-lthough it's early in the morn;
S-eptember twenty-second
I-s the day when he was born.
C-oltish high-spiritedly off bed,
O-verjoyed near the tree bough;
L-arking about in the backyard,
A-s joyful Jack is jumping
N-ow.

Limn of Adult Life

After getting a world class education
and a promise of renewed life
We supposedly enter a life of endless opporunity

A high salaried job becomes the life's expectation
add to it a beautiful wife
We spiritedly look for the endless opportunity

Birth of a new born infuses a new blood relation
another addition creates espousal strife
We crib for the endless opportunity

Diminished blacks and enhanced greys signify comprehension
a mirror's reflection cuts like a knife
We still wait for the endless opportunity

Death angel releases our trapped cognition
accepting fate with a last fife
We whisper adieu to the endless opportunity

Caught In the Merry

Lives were blooming in the land.
Infants were growing spiritedly.
All with merry hearts enjoyed the days.
Then it was heard from a distance near,
Eastern soldiers are marching to us.
The rattling; the roaming; the rumbling.
Deafening! It deafened the ears.

“Lock the city gates, arm the fortress soldiers
Shoot canon out toward the eastern quickly.”
Authority ordered ceaselessly.
“Whoosh! Crash! City gates in ruins!”
Announced a watching soldier.

“Overrun! Override! Pull down! Set fire!
Fire everywhere!”
Ordered the invaders commander.
A force thus failed to match another.

Before this deadly guests departed,
Piles of corpses had grown on every street;
Treasure houses had been rendered empty.

The raised dust became settled.
The retreated king was out of hiding
And became derided before the lucky few.
He saw the damages and cried aloud -
“Lord! What a lesson I deduce from this!
If I live to build my kingdom again,
I’ll always be ready to be in defence.”

If you build your kingdom with wars,
Always be ready for war.
Need you tell the real warlords?

The Elevating Mirth

Listening intently,
My ears draw towards the softest of music
Glistening instantly,
My fears die away… and I find it so therapeutic

I gratefully write this poem
Since I haven’t wrote one in so long…I can’t stand the wait
I spiritedly dance in flawless rhythm
Since I haven’t used my energy in so long…I don’t feel all that great

Flittering ecstatically,
My wings began to elevate in a most treasurable way
Spluttering playfully,
My tears dry away… and my laughter makes the tune dwindle away

Celebration

Jubilantly, excitedly, unabashedly celebrating,
Spiritedly, animatedly, enjoyably consorting,
Awakening to the heat of our African Sun,
Cavorting so splendidly in our gathering so grand,
We applaud our efforts by enjoining our hands,
Declaring our presence that enhances our land,
Honing our talents in this spirit of adventure,
Coming together and appreciating our diverse culture,
Awakening to this creed we have entwined in each heart,
i implore your frivolity and absolute mirth,
Hear ye the sounds of the heartbeat of our land,
See the sublime in our breathtaking sight,
Succumb to the richness of our deep Earthy delights,
Soak in the laughter of our dizzying heights,
Discover their freedom sensuous surrender,
Seek the free fall and let yourself wander....
