In the Spacious Green
Cutting through directly
across the stream of endless traffic
I arrive in an instant
on the median
calm, still, at peace
in the spacious green.
How can it be such a fool
has such opportunity?
How can it be such a direct path exists?
Everyone else whizzing past
glimpses this space
but cannot stop
imbedded in the flow
as they are
bound to journey
from here to there.
So fast they go
compelled to race along
ever faster
a blur in the mind’s eye
while I have simply ceased
at peace
in the spacious green.

Amorous moon, sails veil moment trance.
Transform a lustrous, finely colored finesse.
Spacious heaven at a glance,
Autumn wind threads a rhythmic dance,
Poetic dreams and romance.
Stars whirl mutely in distant space;
Submissively fade in the night's countenance.
Never ending or beginning expanse.
Goodbye to yesterday quintessence.

Voracious and Spacious
My poems have become a success
And spread out and also spacious;
The next thing that I then knew,
Was now a horrible Horn haiku
Readers loved vibrant and voracious.
We are learning what writing meant;
Heard about great place called Ghent;
There ability to write people possess
And never distress or ever depress;
More time on writing I have spent.

We sometimes learn this when we need to mourn
As companions leave, of sympathy devoid

As milk ‘s transformed to butter as we churn
So sorrow’s ale brings memories of joy

The art of living is one art we earn
By patience and with tempers un-annoyed

As life goes by,how greatly we may yearn
For lovers lost in wars akin to Troy

Unlike that mistress tempted to be coy,
We open up our our minds to marvelled joy

To absorb the blue sky,
and feel the distance between.
To walk beneath this round canopy,
feeling minuscule.
To find beauty in silent change to black,
in its gentle loop.
To free the soul, to meditate in peace,
beneath blue spacious realm,
where the heart yearns to be measured,
as covering clouds render shade,
