Premium MemberIrish Accents and Caps

Irish accents quake my female southland.
Males 'neath Newsboy Caps stimulate dreamland.
Irish yearns may want touch,
Did not seek to feel such.
Ireland trips could stimulate mate's backhand.

A Very Short Love Story or Is It

Boom, Boom, Kaboom
My heart goes
When I see you

Vroom, Vroom, Zoom
My heart goes
When I leave you

Machines of Fall

Afternoon autumn
Our neighborhood goes crazy
Like living in a dentist’s office

Drilling sucking blowing
Whining wincing scraping

Gurgle

My head tilted back
With a book on my chest
Mouth wide open
Staring into the glare of the final high sun.

Sound of Silence

wind of change blowing
silence swept the crowded room~
noses smelled the stink

Premium MemberMy Use of Sound Reasoning

Although my house needs a good cleaning,
toward an old movie, I’m leaning.
This dark, lurid doozie
about a young floozy
will save me from work so demeaning.

HMS and PS both say 9 9 6 6 9.

Premium MemberA Lonely Silence

At times the echo of my voice,
lingers far too long.
Something that wasn't my choice.
But results when another has gone.

Being alone I have found,
how loud silence can be.
So I speak, creating sound.
Carrying on a conversation with me.

I ask and answer my own questions,
and laugh when I say something funny.
I consider my own suggestions,
listening to my advice about money.

A lonely silence, all that you hear.
But you are unable to walk away.
It is within, so it's always near,
sadly, this companion will stay.

So I fill the hours of the day,
talking nonstop to no one there.
The heartfelt words that I say,
mean nothing, going nowhere.

Premium MemberThat Crazy Sound

The neighbor down the street from me,
always had her polka dotted curtains open for all to see.
Music was playing loud,
there was a beat to that crazy sound.

Premium MemberThese Human Sound Awful

Tramadah was trying to explain
Halloween to her black cat, Jermaine.
Two legged creatures go house to house.
May try to catch you. You could cough up a mouse.

It is most probably best if we stay hidden inside.
After trick-or-treating, we’ll take broomstick for a ride.
They sound terrifying her pet black cat said.
What is wrong with them? Are they zonked in the head?

A tiny bit nutty and confused if you really want to know.
They carve out pumpkins and make their insides glow.
I’ll hide in the darkest corner, way back under the bed.
These humans sound AWFUL Jermaine the cat said.

Buzz Buzz Buzz

buzz the bees
making honey ...
Hum, hum, hum
infernal mess
on the playground ...
Buzz... buzz ... buzz...
hum the drill of
dentist on teeth ...
Hum, hum, hum,
it's too much gossip ...
I cannot support it anymore
so much hype ...
I cannot stand it , wow !
I am going
away from here ...
there to Minas Gerais ...!

Ps Minas Gerais is one of the 26 states of the republic of Brazil

Premium MemberWhat Is That Strange Sound

What is that strange sound? I demand.
My husband hears nothing.
You do not hear that?
He shakes his head ‘no’.
“That sound of water running?”
He listens. “You mean the dishwasher?
I guess I do.
Residual benefit of not doing dishes for the past twelve years.

When you laugh, the world

Will laugh with you, and when you

Cry, the world will cry with you.

                    It is safe to say,

When you sleep, and you snore, the

World will let you sleep alone.

Premium MemberThey Made Me Sound Crazy To the Neighbors

I died some eggs for Easter to celebrate the season.
How was I to know what would happen when, I’d leave them.
Upon the counter top they sat, drying for awhile.
When I returned, they’d come to life;
giggly, jiggly, wiggly cartoons met my eyes.
They were having a conversation; talking all at once;
Sarcastic egg pointed me out as the one who’d boiled them!
Screaming ensued that brought the neighbors; now...silence.

Premium MemberHollering Birds In a Tree

Woodpeckers don’t talk
Yet
Can run their mouths
All day
Just ask a tree
Hole
And hear it holler

Premium MemberUltra Sound Tickles

Ultra Sound Tickles (By Moji Agha)

Ultrasound tickles tickle soundly;
Or do they?

Do they have a choice in the matter?
Or they tickle the trunk of pain reflexively,
to cause reflective pained chuckles
at our deep folly?

Do ultrasound tickles
tickle soundly by nature?
Or do they learn,
by nurture,
to cause ultra tickles?

Or alas,
do nature and nurture
are tickle-dancing together,
as they always have?

Now,
talking about my tickled trunk:
Does a lonely tree
fallen in the forest
of human ignorance
make a sound (perhaps an ultra sound),
when tickled by the seeing sounds of climate change?
Can the ultra sounds
of the worried hearts,
of those who have "washed their eyes"
see one another?

Can they see, hear, touch, smell, and taste
the fallen tree's sound of ultra pain?
Of ultra warning?

Never Is Sound Advice

There are some things that I was taught
when I was just a lad
Some by father’s knowing words
and some by being bad

Never, ever hit a girl
no matter what she’s done
The sting of belt or Dad’s firm hand
was never any fun

Never play with matches
You could burn the whole house down
Never sass your elders
the response will be a frown

Never place your hand
 upon a red hot stove
Never spit into the wind
or wetness you will know

Never stick your tongue
near any freezing metal pole
For the laughter of your friends
will be a hefty toll

Never poke at bee’s nests
their sting will cause you pain
Never pick on bigger kids
If you don’t want to end up lame

These are just a few of the things
that each of us should know
Oh Yeah, I almost forgot!
Never ever eat the pretty yellow snow!!!
