Premium MemberIn Suppression of Treason

If one chooses to enter the political realm
[To serve his or her country in high office]
Inevitably, they will be accused of misconduct
Of one sort or another during their tenure
Julia Gillard, ex-Prime Minister of Australia,
The first and only female in Australia’s history
Is no exception.

From 2010-2013, she performed her duties, but
Was deposed by her predecessor, who claimed
Rightly that she was ambivalent, that she
Sordidly vacillated in her actions and decisions
And such claims by one’s political allies and opponents
Are rather common when a position of authority
Is coveted.

No evidence exists, however, that she was a traitor!
Treason (to be a traitor) requires attacking the state
Authority “to whom one owes” [complete] “allegiance
With the intent of overthrowing the government.”
Almost ten years have passed since she left office,
And it would behoove the Australian powers that be
To move on.

Legacy

Legacy

Inheritors we are of depravity,
yet blame do we the ignorance of
those whom graves stolidly invoke,
or pity do we the oblivion of
the unborn, who, in our dirty shoes
shall sordidly rule the seven seas?

Ode To Ouster Order At Home of Imperiality

gale to bluster, sleet to bluster, worst whacked are hobos around huts cluster.

nowhere to doss, tempest to toss, yet another sucker punch sweeps across.

with big boot to field, with big stick to wield, arrogative hosts of imperial capital always have big deal to yield,

so august the majestic center, so wretched the lowborn hobos, ouster order seems to get it best addressed,

with wish we roil, for wish we toil, how come repayment of repellence proves us a foil to the soil sordidly steeled?

humanity they tread, hostility they breed, how bleak it is to plead for the creed they've professed!

empty as the firmament is, vast as the earth, no habitat for us o'er the horizon strides caste chasm.

much as we wail, much as public opinion vociferates, the sacrament highest held hails from their behest.

astray our kith and kin adrift our kismet, ashtray accommodates our enthusiasm, echoes with their gleeful spasm.

ouster order, peremptory, outrageous, sledgehammer; its wide-ranging aftermath ne'er to be redressed.

I Tell You

I tell you
Don't get ahead
Of your prettly small self
I do not love you

I tell you
Don't bask in illusions
If I loved you
It won't be in paper-words

I tell you
If l loved you
It will burn my heart
To the navel of my soul
In the stars I will etch it
The smile of the sun will know

I tell you
Don't get overboard
If I loved you
I wouldn't sordidly express
But I will go to the ends
Of every word ever
To find the best one
Which will best express
How I feel about you

I tell you
If I loved you
I will pour out my heart
I will bare my soul
And I will go to the depths
Of the whole world
And the tempestuous seas
For the world to know
How I feel about you
And no other

Flowers of the Curious Mind

Sent were flowers of the curious mind
 following echoes of Cantu's muse
No curses , words grossly unkind
insults hidden deeply in clever ruse

Dare not stab sweet music of mortal man
with deeds sordidly played tho' sweet
Transgress not Nature's surviving plan
with arrogant contempt born of defeat

Embrace life's melody as a lost friend
dancing within it's tune so fine
Live, live gloriously until life's end
drink, drink richly of it's finest wine!

Paris

Best not be rosy, you steamy old wench,
the air has no words for your vomit and stench.
Hardly, if ever, do teeth so hard clench,
yet the waste of your life is a moldy brown bench.
What hell decomposed to sordidly drench
the world with your tears like a hog in a trench?
Lapping a river of gold could not quench
the cracks in my throat from the twists of your wrench.
So fall off a bridge or meurs in your French,
Do me the kindness, my disgust you'll retrench.

Fresh wild violet, my angel of night,
fountains of silver gleam not like your light.
The heavens recoil upon your plain sight,
and in your resplendence the gods have no might.
No simple pleasure, the depth of delight
that drips from the branches, your soft limbs of white.
Worthy are none to present as your knight,
but swords all drawn, over your bed they fight.
Madame, I do beg you, lay rest to my plight,
A wench you may be, but a rose true and right.

Reciprocal

Mitosis
movements
wrap together in
pulsing conduits
of vibrant vigor
to nudge
the prod of
creation

until all
division lines
fold down to
ampersands
welcoming
liberated
hands
operating
in unison

despite all
individualistic
instincts sordidly
hoarding for
dominion of
identity

denying
the swirling
dependencies
holding all
bodies in
godly
orbit.

The Definition of Reality

Think your own thoughts,
and walk in the same shoes:
to never go astray
and wear a borrowed array;
be the definition of reality,
unflattered and discerned...
until your prize is earned
and the hardest lesson is learned!

If fairness was never denied,
and an injustice was easily remitted...
how would you lament
for something you refer to by sentiment?
You put anyone and anything down,
to raise yourself above them;
an unacceptable behavior...
sordidly to confer sorrow!

Sucked up by vanity,
every intention is manipulated by greed;
opulent and lofty...
not opposed to frivolity:
everything you perform is never achieved
by the definition of reality!

Trust your instincts endearingly
and act upon them accordingly;
many are impressed by a wealthier
and more congenial appearance by far...
crossing the forbidden line,
'till their fortress tumbles down!

Slightly concerned,
you suppress human kindness...
found in those who have less;
intoxicated by rage,
you aren't intrigued
by the definition of reality
and make an immediate change
into that lifestyle of iniquity!

Spell It Out

Dark blue
Echoes
Persistently
Repeatedly and
Encroach m
Sadly and
Sordidly
Inside the forbidden
Only to make me
Never what to return again
