Premium MemberGasoline’s Smell is Beautiful

When asked what smell they like, most people name
sweet flowers’ fragrance or aroma of
fresh baking bread, but one smell has no fame,
yet it is one I personally love.

I still remember all so long ago
when gas stations emitted quite a scent.
I know not why today this isn’t so;
one day away the gas station’s scent went.

My dad would stop to fill our car with gas.
I’d roll my window down to breathe it in.
Deeply I’d inhale it. Sniff, sniff! Alas,
the car got filled up fast to my chagrin.

It even beats paint, glue and vaseline.
How beautiful the smell of gasoline!

Smell of an old Book

Smell Of An Old Book
 Pages turn yellow.
 Black ink at work.
 Your mind is thinking.
 Solitude sky shines many.
 Exhale poetry.
 Words written yesterday.
 Turn each page.
 Fall slumber, away.
 Shadowy eyes a haze.
Smell of an old book fades.
 The love of reading.
 Someone else's story.
 Another chapter ages.
Clean air after the rain, to memories.
 A poet to paper.
Rain in the mud makes a foot print.
I’m just writing you a letter.
 I wish you were near.
 So much time lost.
 Smell of an old book.

Masculinity in a Bottle

He walked into the room, commanding attention
and my heart, the scent of him is like a drug,
intoxicating me, controlling my every thought.

A hint of musk and cedarwood, with a touch of leather,
manly without being overbearing. I can't help but
associate those notes with his broad shoulders,

and the way he carries himself with such confidence.
There's a subtle spiciness to it as well,
a reminder that he's not just strong, but passionate too.

It's a fragrance that lingers long after he's gone,
a phantom presence in the room, making me crave him even more.
I wonder if he knows the power he holds

in just one spray of cologne. How it makes me feel
like I'm under his spell, completely at his mercy.
His scent alone could bring me to my knees,

but paired with his charming smile and piercing blue eyes,
it's almost too much for my heart to handle.
I take a deep breath, trying to memorize every note,

to hold onto this moment forever. Because no matter where life takes us,
this smell will always bring him back to me,
and remind me of what it means to love a man.

Rose Wine

Roses smell of wine
Drinking in a pink spring sun
Soaking up the day

Premium MemberI love the smell of play dough

I love the smell of Play Dough
I put it on my nose and inhale
It is marvelous, as usual
I put it on my cheeks, and on my chin
I used to eat it
But I was younger then
I take another smell of it
Nothing like it!
No other fragrance in the world teases me like this one
I really want to eat it
But the taste is always a disappointment

Premium Memberthat puppy smell

there is a puppy smell that you cannot get anywhere else
You have to have a real puppy
this smell makes me smile every time
for along with this smell comes cuddles, and snuggles
unconditional love, and a lifetime of loyalty and affection.

A Beautiful Scent

A magnificent flower or a beautiful tree are plants of different breed. You’ll smell their scent float in the air as you inhale to breathe.

An attractive smell is natures spell on every man or beast. I like the aroma of every spice but hate the smell of yeast.

A spray of musk or even oud may change a fellows mood. The fumes of myrrh or sandalwood will make the foolish shrewd.

Our taste may differ from one to one depending on what you wear. But when it comes to what young prefer vanilla is in the air.

But what ladies wear will cast a spell and soften shady hearts. It gives them pleasure in social events while in the crowd they spark.

In every wedding the groom will wait to see his lovely bride, she fills the air with the scent of love a smell no one can hide.

"I smell A.I. as it coldly brushes against me, stiff and analytical in it's digital analysis of my heartbeat, falling short in quantifying that which is experienced within my soul,,,,, this while though presenting the perfect picture of representation, lack's the true seasonings and flavor of life."

Darrell

A.I. attempts to understand the human experience,,,,, breaking it down into digital bits.... "ones and zeros" as we engineers call it. The outward picture comes quite close to an accurate representation of the heartbeat of humanity yet lacks any flavor ,,, any smell,,, any true understanding of my heart and soul .....
I live! I taste! I smell the flavors of life and I pity the paltry machines and their operators who will never know my joys, my heartache, my laughter, my pain, my victory, my loss, my love or my sorrow...
For the gods themselves stand in envy of my mortality !

Premium MemberFishy Smell Is Not At All Me

There is one job I could never do
ever since leaving school this was a no
never felt any real direction at that time
but a fish shop job was never ever so

The smell of fish always put me off
even from a early age to smell
I just couldn't stand this aroma
fish and me would not ever gel

Today when I walk past a fish shop
just have to move on up my speed
so glad to reach another store
for to any other shop I'll take lead

The thought of handling these creatures
so slippy, slimy, and lengthy things
my answer would be an immediate no
foreboding fish thoughts mindfully brings

Fishy smell is not at all me
its funny as I don't cause a fuss
most foods I like even some I love
but take away fish or I'll get the bus

( This is written about the one job I could never do for the smell would make me run away)

Premium MemberThe Smell of Your Hair After the Rain

“The Smell of your hair after the rain”.

I'm lost for words, I Shake my head,
 I take your hand,
You stop to stare at me... staring at you.
 What: Who do we see?
Dream? a nightmare? or the real?
 I squeeze your hand....
Brush a hair from your smile.
 Lost in silence.
 Let’s walk for a while.
 Lost for words,
 Lost in our smiles,
 Looked into our soul's,
 We looked into our eyes,
 I’ve searched for you....
for my whole life, but now.
 Now that you are here:
 Standing in front of me,
Is the person you see.... the real me?
 Eyes cast down:

 Afraid to look up,
These feelings of fear cannot be explained,
More to lose, more to gain?
 Is there no pulse?
 No refrain?
 Only....
The Smell of your Hair after the Rain
 Is our love is dead?
 How can this be?
 Feelings of loss!
 These feelings of dread.
 I've searched for you,
 for my whole life.
 only to find?
 Termites in our hearts.
 Termites in our heads.
 Termites in our lives.
 Termites in our bed.
 Our love is dead!
 Just: Our last refrain!
And the Smell of your Hair after the Rain!

Saffron Sapling Smell

so cute love poem
so swell sweet short smooth slap-up
saffron sapling smell

To Love Is To Loose

To feel love is to feel a cold knife stab you through the heart.
To taste love is to eat a birthday cake with icing too sweet.
To hear love is to hear a beautiful melody played on a piano just out of tune.
To smell love is to smell gasoline.
To see love is to watch them walk away.
To love is to lose.

Smelling

I do wander around flowery gardens,
Where floral odors can be found to reside,
Each flower has a unique tale, aroma, and song,
I genuinely feel at home in this scented universe.

A rose with delicate, red petals,
Its fragrance dances in the wind,
A pristine and snow-white lily,
In the garden, its aroma is growing subtly.

But I love more than simply flowers,
The earthy fragrance following the summer's rain,
Or the enticing scent of hot bread,
My mind is a patchwork of all these smells.

From the saline, salted embrace of the sea,
To the enduring beauty of the pine forest,
The world smells so wonderful,
A melody of smells, during the day and at night.

Allow me to enjoy each scent yet again,
For I'm obsessed with the sensation of smell,
I find myself in this universe of scents,
With each embrace comes a wonderful aroma trip.

Wind and Memory of Love

Because it passes, what has the wind brought?
It smells like my favorite love

The wind of love blows from my heart
The morning wind dances in the bend of the branches

He has decorated himself like a flower, he is my soul
I said I remember you when I'm sober and drunk

Your love awakens my soul like a fresh wind
I see myself with you forever in the garden of your love

Mistress of the heart, while it is mine I am happy and smiling
If I lips to you lips, my instrument is a tune

Go and Live

Y'all
I am just so d#mn happy to be alive

Trees are green!
The ground smells earthy and warm!
Music exists and it's amazing!

My stomach is full of spaghetti
And I bounced on a trampoline today!

I cannot fully express
Just how much
I have fallen in love with life
