Premium Member slow and easy

flickers in space tease
emotions release
polarities swirl
in bliss mists we curl

tree of ego felled
awareness is held
in dawn to dusk’s yawn
when no thought forms spawn

be this as it may
in sleep we do sway
where past lives reveal
need of love to heal

in blissful repose
we metamorphose
on bosom of earth
whilst bubbling with mirth

Let's go somewhere where time goes slow
Let's walk a shoreline to and fro
Let's count the stars off one by one
And never count on being done
For that's the point, to always be
Counting stars off, you and me
See this way we won't ever end
Thus we won't have to wonder when
We'll see each other once again

Let's toast a sunset sip by sip
Let's drink a rainstorm drip by drip
Let's love each other long and right
Then in each other's arms that night
Snuggle up and cuddle in
Beneath a blanket, skin on skin
And in that way then fall asleep
I'll count yous instead of sheep
Unpublished dreams of you I'll keep

Low Sun Over Home Waters

Nets are hauled and homeward go the shrimp boats
rolling slow and easy on a sunset path,
their droning engines chugging
over a rippling seafoam.

In the mangrove swamp
an egret sets its white sails and glides upwards
upon hot winds.
The sky opens for its passage
leading it through a cloudless window.

Cypress roots grip the darkening water.
their knees just above a brackish deep.
Mosquitoes dance in the dank
as shadows reach inwards.

Tonight on the bayou, grills will be heated,
pots filled,
while fishing nets are neatly reefed and mended
by rough and ready hands.

Children will skip and play in the barefooted
calm of late evening,
until carried away to their cots
sleepily listening to anhinga and loon
chant their native calls
beneath a far from sleeping lakeside moon.

one step at a time
let go of ego
there is no hurry
it’s a paradox
there is no one here

simply dissolve
in nothingness
love enabled
feel bliss beats rise

form and void
both are one
that’s the truth

become
God’s light

peace

Premium Member Secret Ingredient

The secret for great flavor
in a baked cherry pie
Add a little almond extract
for the taste that will happily surprise

For dull tasteless vegetables
like cabbage and green beans
Add a little bacon grease
watch the kids lick their plate clean

For tender succulent beef
every Chinese chef knows
Mix the beef with baking soda
become a stir fry hero

Sauces to bland slow down
simmer that sauce for a taste profound
Slow and easy a little sugar will do
cook extra for second helpings too

Need some flavor oomph
in meats gravies and stews
A good shake of Worcestershire sauce
your taste buds will woo

Add the old stand by for any plan dishes
pour on the ketchup make it delicious
But the true secret ingredient every cook knows
a little love adds the flavor that makes your kitchen glow.

Premium Member Morning Dawn

Morning dawn infuses new hope
If we believe in grace
Chance for love with love to elope
At slow and easy pace

The gong of truth resounds
Life no longer confounds
Bliss within us abounds

Long night gone
Morning dawn

Premium Member Playful Descent and Ascent

Mindful eye
Playful heart
First lowers vibration
Slow and easy
There’s no hurry
Feeling each sensation
Being the director
As also actor
Of this dream sequence

Who else but we
Could conjure such magic
Upon screen of consciousness
Becoming that
Which we are not
Yet dwelling in the pulse
Making for a moment real
Our heart’s desire
Until we exhale

Then the ascent
Back the way we came
Although we forget now
Where we were
So we continue
Until love manifests
As the infallible signpost
That we are back
In God’s domain

Love too has hues
Which we explore
First the bubbling joy
In here now this-ness
Shifting to empathy
Rising to compassion
Rooted in purity
Of blissful soul presence
In vibrant stillness

Davy's band plays weekend gigs
     at Carrie's club;
Saturday nights the place
     is packed; from
Grease to glitter
     in one hour;
     turning pro
Even though it's not up-town yet.
The crowd is slow and easy here;
Hard stuff never sells as well as beer.
Davy draws the over-forties crowd
     with disco in three-quarter
     time; and slow dances,
     and middle-aged clinging
Couples, wanting "Release Me" before
     midnight; and when the last
     set is over,
The band tears down in debt,
     exits through the rear.
Mondays, brass and skins are stacked
     in the maple crate
     on a beatup, borrowed truck
And Davy pumps gas at Larry's
     to make some bucks.

Premium Member Fear of Death

Whilst we wait, are we anxious or sedate,
if the matter be say, of life and death?
Do we yet, to the bliss current gyrate
even as doom approaches us in stealth
or is slow and easy, our tranquil breath?
If we pause, before giving an answer,
bondage to delusion, yet to sever,
it may well be a time for reflection,
for desires grow within us like cancer,
exhumed in stillness of meditation.

Premium Member Joy Unending

go slow and easy, touch soft and breezy
in effortless, thought rested awareness
attention flicker free serenity
nestled thus in rapture of blissfulness

no doing done by us in this journey
save abiding in stillness and silence
rekindling inner sense polarity
divine entwined, playful, joyful parlance

we get out of our own way, so to speak
ego vaporised, no milestones to seek

Slow understanding
Assimilation
By percolation
Osmotically
Layer by layer

Caterpillar
To butterfly
Let latent heat
Gently transform

The ego
Ignorant
Agitates

Let calm
Within

Premium Member Make Love To Me

Make love to me with
your poem, your poetry.
Flow slowly do not rush it.
not so fast.
Let your words last.
Stroke me slowly
Put your back into it.

Caress my totality
Draw me into your world
let me succumb –
To your glib poetic tongue.
I hear your commands
As you slowly express
how capable you are
Expanding my mind
taking me places I've never been
Firmly holding me in the grips
of your suspense.

I was tense
Waiting for the end – you, let me
down gently as your poem ended.

I bask in the aftermath of a poetry bath
Thinking of the ecstasy of
where your poetry took me.

I let down my hair because
you swoon creativity
I get off on your enunciation
and affections- inflections
Word erections-sensitivity
and vulnerability;

Allowing me to feel every word-
as you speak slowly…
you enter me with your "diction".

Slow and easy you speak to me
Stroking me with your poetry...
You took me to peaks
of ecstasy with your
sweet glib tongue
and that's why
I let you make ...
Make sweet Poetry to me…

Easy

Some things in life
Are slow and easy
They have a pace
Without any haste
Done their way
It is easy
But if pushed
They resist
Will not go fast
Cannot be forced
Try as you may
In any way
It will not work
They must go slow
And going slow
They are very easy
