Sienna in Season

I was a productive, proficient painter, long captivated by the manifold colors,
An infinite parade of hues and intensities, like tales of a thousand summers.

I worked daily at this irresistible passion, which made long, golden hours fly,
As sun stains skies in its final burst of passion, prior to a pretty day going by.

Muted colours,sienna and dark rose
Lovely mauve and lilac   please my eye
Linen,silk or wool,I love my clothes

 I like to complement,I don’t oppose
The colour wheel rotates as I go by
Wearing colours,sienna and dark rose

I  like colour,all my neighbours know
The “take” on natural fibres makes me high

A BURNT SIENNA BEACH BECKONS OUT OF REACH

She softened the surf near a secluded isle during a summer sequestered by her smile
And she wore a smile all the while
With an ambiance of ambitious style

She reduced the roar at the shore and seduced a beach besmirched by her beauty
While waves accepted the woman’s wish for quietude
