Premium Member Jello Love

White puffs of goodness.
Whip cream in love with jello.
Cold, jiggling flavor,
Topped with foaming nothingness,
Yielding to gel's surrender.

Premium Member Whip-Poor-Will

whip-poor-will's first call

this spring comes at midnight hour....

                                                          ignites memories.

Premium Member Just Whip Out Your Smile

It's easy to smile, just try it and see
It brightens the day for you and for me
If on your face appears an ugly frown
   Just whip out your smile
~ Now that frown's upside down

Whip

Fast trees
whip in the wind
bamboo bends coldly beneath them

Lost days quilted in bed
bringing black tea and no sugar

fast trees
whip in the wind
ice on the creek and we're thirsty

Memories Whip

As i sat
At sunset
On shore
To rest
With hope
Of rest
To spare
The rest
She lit by her niche
In my soul
The fire
Of love
What woes rest
The wounds
With gore
Oh how whips
Your love memories
To harm

Whip-Poor-Will

Whip-Poor-Will, come sing for me
   Under the whispering pine

That stands forlorn from early morn
   'Til grey of evening sky

Be pure and gentle as you may
   For you alone can bring

A saddened heart the ecstacy
   Of every note you sing

My Supple Whip

Supple, limber perfect leather
Graceful in it’s agility when I
wield it by hand.
Supple are the contusions upon
your back as I teach you
to tease my attack-

When I train you, bull whip in hand.
Supple is your insolence- soon it shall
No longer exist,
after my punishment.
Darling I love you so supply and intimate.

Premium Member The Whip-Poor-Will's Song

The Whip-Poor-Will sang
The very first day of June
The shrillness and vigor of its cry
Surely caught the ladies eyes

It could not hold out very long
The pace it set was much too strong
It very shortly quieted down
Then there was no other sound
Except the starting NOISES of the day

Oh Whip-Poor-Will please, please stay

Premium Member whip

whip-poor-will sings at daybreak.... tires burning scent
someone keeps setting wood fires and putting car tires on them. I have called the forest rangers and they said there is nothing they can do about it. The smoke settles in the hollow on the creek just a few feet from my home and it makes me sick.

Premium Member Whip-Poor-Will Entertains

The whip-poor-will entertains. His song crisp and fresh today His voice is not inhumane. And leads my few thoughts astray. Running was the Bovidae Outside my open window. So, I could hear faraway Dance of the painted pinto.
Just for fun, no there was no Bovidae nor painted pinto. Written: 5/18/2023

Summers of years ago windows open --when
On those many nights, young love romance, the
Air moved freely night sounds of the-- Whip-Poor-Will

No longer can I hear the great sounds --when
We were young, for the windows are closed for--the

How in great tune were our voices when he--sang

An Angered Father For His Whip

An angered father went for his whip
And son made for a man to him grip:
Ferdinand's sudden timely smart slip;
The cowhide would have slashed his hip!

Now as safe as a bird on a roof,
Father's relaxed grip on whip sound proof
Town send knew the rules and would not goof.
At home he'll change son's right foot to hoof.
"Fine! let him present success savor?
What shall meet him not in his favor".

Premium Member Whip-Poor-Will

This feathered friend
Was new to thee
Until Sara Kendrick
Introduced me

It's the Whip-poor-will
Delightful night-jar bird
Who forage at night
During the day, rarely heard

Of mottled plumage
In blacks and browns
Deciduous habitats
But rarely towns

This beautiful bird
Departing souls it catches
But in our heart
Admiration as it latches

Who's Boss?

One of the clowns in my circus wants to be ringmaster and crack the whip one of the sailors on board my boat wants to be captain and steer the ship but there's only room for one under the big tophat my dear so they're both out of luck and the buck stops here I have the last and final say tho' not one to overwhelm to maintain a steady course there can only be one at the helm

Taking Back the Whip

Master, Master I am drowning in your flood of commands
Unable to make my own needs known
I won't stand for this anymore
Crawling back upon my throne
Careful not to loose my grip again
Just call me Queen from now on
I rule here now
Your reign of dominance has come to an end
Just in time For me to give you your just desserts
I am your ruler now
Accept it Master
You are the slave now
Because I have taken back the whip

Sound of the Whip

Like the sword cutting through the wind…
It heard the pain coming…
It had to run faster…
To satisfy the crowd’s luster…
No one could see its pain…
Its tears were in vain…
All that matters, were the gains…
It enjoyed the running…
But without the whipping…
Sometimes it would bleed…
At the expense of the gambler’s need…
At night it would dream of rainbows…
It would dream running in the meadows…
With hopes that men see its sorrow…
For a better tomorrow….
