Premium Member 1440 - Last Sanctum

Life sea wavers on waves. Soul serene still at depth I sink, search slaked for last sanctum, silence.

Upon a Proverb

The moonlight wavers on a pond

waves are splashing high and low

The illusion shimmers, then it's gone

Hid behind a pale window

Grasping the Moon

The moonlight wavers on a pond

waves are splashing high and low

The illusion shimmers, then it's gone

Hid behind a pale window

Hands wave to clear the fog

Yet only let the image go

Freedom's Fate 2023

Long life, lived in full, longing for death's impending embrace;
my fate's final freedom wavers on two fronts, like old Simeon's.
Departure's deep desire is delayed by a first great grandchild.

Footsteps

The sweet aroma of jasmine
wavers and captivates my mind.

Today known voices again
binds me in the string of love.

I turn back and see that the footsteps
i've made still carry the soil of
my courtyard.

Premium Member Trance Adrift

The mute sense dazed by trance adrift elusive,
never wavers a moment to lacerate
the endangered dormant psyche unwary.
Contrived by passion dream of pale possession,
sapped by nascent sunrays curtain pores suck in.

Introducing Myself - k, 2006

Contrary to our nature
Self centred wavers it.
If so induced to save, support
Tis by a good spirit.

As when my own bashfulness
Girl, brave voiced stood up to.
If so enticed by your angel?
That lost-looking child, you!

Devil's Snare

In evil all of us you bind, make bitter greed seem sweet. You grotesquely twist my mind, till every temptation I can`t beat. With your whisper, my heart wavers, it becomes so hard to reject your sinful favors.

Premium Member Rollercoaster

Ride
On a
Turbulent
Rollercoaster
Plummet up and down
Pulled by a force driving
On track inconsistently
Trust always wavers in the wind
Hold on because it is not easy
On a ride, not knowing what to expect

Until Eye Meets Eye

Until eye meets eye
The thought wavers:
Appeal I, to his
Superficial need?
Albeit the heed
Of skirt-chasers.

Until lip greets lip
Doubt's chill sets in:
I'm not loveable!
As worthy a love
Felt but for a shove
Friend's friendly in!

Premium Member Intoxicating

your single nod
as I touch you in that place --
mature thoughts
my dream is infused with
the smell of white chocolate

I open weak eyes --
the small flame wavers
as you walk slowly
you know I am in your palm
even as the fragrant candle

Anxiety

Anxious worry seizes my heart
Now my pulse quickens and wavers
X-ray my chest and find my heart's compression
I try to calm down but it's simply no use
The stress builds and the world spins
Every thought pushes me deeper into panic
Yesterday it was paying for my groceries

Glass Rod

Glass Rod

You push me around
with careless hands
like I'm a glass rod
on a wind chime
forcing a word
a tune out of me
as the thin thread
I dangle from wavers
and I hold on
another day
before it breaks
and I detach
from the world I know
crumbling
shattering into pieces

Sleepless

Late night
I am awake
3:30 AM
knows all my secrets

Perhaps insomnia
is a refuge
my oasis
I suffer darkly
within my refuge

Daybreak hours
onward creep
shred of sleep
all but wavers
in the spirit wind

Tonight beautiful
beckoning bed
did not promise
opiated dreams
only pillow thoughts...

Curvature

The visible was most
invisible.

Watching the moon
through veil.

A bomb explodes
in your hands.
The poem wavers-

and then falls on dew.

This was not bone-green;
original,
not a fake cloud –

to kiss the feet
of a burning god.

It was natural conjugation
between enemies.

Premium Member As Time Goes By

As Time Goes By

sit quietly before my cake
each year a tiny flicker
to remind that life
is easily extinguished.

the song plays softly
in my tired mind
the conflagration before me
wavers and strobes.

today is for here and now
the shining faces bid me
blow and wish. tomorrow
will be time enough remember.

Onion Soup

Chop onions into black sauce pan.
Smell wavers up, nostrils expand.

Some like topped with bread, cheese.
Tasty without. Goes down with ease.

Beef broth hits the spot, it's hot.

We're having it with BLTs and fries.
I rinsed the onions and I didn't cry.

Soup's simmering on stove for dinner.
It smells so good, sure to be a winner.

Escape From Within

If peace was like a river then it would not be peace
It would just be a shiver that is mistaken for bliss
All the cataract's all the wavers,it would not cease for your pleas
Shouts and screams chanting save her,but it's all in your dreams
Musical notes such as quavers, wash up your nightmares wash off your sins
Relieve the pain relieve the danger, hold my hand though am a stranger

This Place I'Ve Found

Alone.
With my thoughts.
Detatching my soul from reality.
Worries of the day,
flood through my inner thoughts,
though mingled with happiness.
My mind wavers between two worlds,
this one I've made,
and the harsh reality that is standing idly by.
I'm happy
no judging,
just me.
I can say anything,
think anything.
This place is not concrete,
only I can find it,
in my mind.
