Sleepless

Late night
I am awake
3:30 AM
knows all my secrets

Perhaps insomnia
is a refuge
my oasis
I suffer darkly
within my refuge

Daybreak hours
onward creep
shred of sleep
all but wavers
in the spirit wind

Tonight beautiful
beckoning bed
did not promise
opiated dreams
only pillow thoughts...

Poet Destroyer A Date: 7/28/2013 10:01:00 AM Kenneth, i like that! 3:30 knowing all your secrets.. so i imagine that's when your mind comes to life... this is truly a nice little verse.. i love how you run to your OASIS, even if it means depriving yourself from precious sleep. Maybe that's the only time your mind finds comfort with you and the thoughts swim with no dreams. Any signal is better than no signal at all. thank you for this post. Once again..
