Donald Trump my muse does not like
Nor his COVID-19 grave spike
I just can not sleep

Gets the message to take a hike!

# 4

The wake-up call woke me,
grabbed the copper vintage rotary
phone, no line. The ringing
continued, where? Hung up the
wall phone in the bathroom.

Premium Member Thought of the day

Each and every day,
pain that comes our way,
our soul does recall,
is a wake up call.

Each and every day,
joy that comes our way,
is God telling us,
let not fears nonplus.

dissolving into eternity
sans entity identity
universe vessel
gongs a bell
a wake up call
for God's bliss squall
to renew love's pulsation
that creation feels sensation

"The Wake-up Call"

some of us woke up far too late;

we were too concerned
about ourselves
and The Great Escape

in northern skies
aurora's dance silently
colourful light show

a early morning
the sun peeks over the hill
rooster's wake up call

sun sets in the west
a colourful masterpiece
land of living skies

Premium Member Wake Up Call

A distant motorcycle drones
Fading away
“that” dog barks
It must be 8:15
A bus honks
A siren sounds
Jet engines overhead
A quick dream
The furnace kicks in
Breakfast!
Maybe pancakes?

A Wake-Up Call

No matter what tiny little rain-drops
we are,
if we come together as a whole
we will absolutely have a great power
to create huge seas of humanity
and we can easily drown,
all around the world,
the atmosphere of enmity

What Happens Now

I died somewhere in between
the dream and the wake up call

Wondering which side had turned
  me in

Wondering which side had shut
  me out

Wondering in the darkness
 —what happens now

Premium Member The Thrilling Beyond

Purple mists
and dawn wake up call,
red rooster.
Keen bluebirds
whistle and call for gold sun-
songs of the thrill days.

Fading dreams
waft in fading mist
so lovely.
Scents adrift
along green sidewalks of life
beyond plum shadows.

in darkness of the night
our auric field manifests
we are startled and apprehensive
the universe jests and tests

the happenstance was fortunate
coming as a wake up call
roots of conditioning go in deep
who we are, we oft fail to recall

WTF

A wake up call is needed

Well here it is

What do you really need

To live.?.?.

I will be ready
When His wake-up call I hear,
And last judgement day is near.
I wait Your calling
Lord, without a doubt or fear,
When the judgement time is here.

Premium Member Loving the Color of Truth

colors exploded into my room
dazzling and sparkling
bringing me joy and delight
waking up the alarm clock who screamed

I laughed at this
Loving the truth
Enjoying the best wake up call of my life
the alarm clock stuck out her tongue
no sense of humor

Sunrise In Your Eyes

ocean's blue
turning to molten gold...
a wake up call

in scarlet sky
a blooming flower...
smell of dawn

orange sun
rising behind me...
your eyes' reflection

Premium Member End of Summer

August is fading
lushest blooms kiss a fierce sun
sudden surprise chills

standoff of seasons
spicy fragrance thrills both sides
butterfly bliss hides

skies still berry blue
melancholy wake up call
honking geese southbound

a brightly stained world
all of nature is colors
changing endlessly

The Stomach of the Sky

The stomach of the sky is rumblin'
and I fear that I'll be consumed;
the oceans are dying, the earth turns to sand,
and I sense the day of my doom.

If we're going to change this we'd better get started
stop making excuses and cut to the chase;
I fear this movie will have a bad ending
if we don't meet our demons face to face.

Premium Member A Cold Darkness

The rain seems more angry today
A cold stinging slap in the face
A wake-up call perhaps

It will soon cling
Icily sharp
On the edges
Of a colder wind

Glistening branches
Tinkling
In Christmas card glitter
Shiver

As we wait
For the frightening
Flicker of the lights

And

A cold darkness.
