Method To Madness

Wrong with sin...
Are you crazy!
Jesus missing!
About to fall into delusions?
Threatened sanity
Mom enemy?
Overwhelmed by video games
Jail?! Institution?!

Life still challenge

End

At the end of a rainbow
Leprechauns see gold
My brother sees video games
My father sees music
And me?
I see pencils
Yellow pencils
Yet what do the rich see?
The lonely?

Premium Member spoiled forty year old men

Stevie is no aberration
Many spoiled forty-year-old men
Now live in mama’s basement
Playing video games all night
Sleeping all day while mama does their laundry
And makes their meals

Premium Member The Abcs of Love

Always a
better day
cuddling with you
dilated eyes
each video game
formidable
giving us peace together

I am always at peace
just being with you
killing time with video games

Premium Member Paul Talked Tough

Paul talked tough, said he wanted to pulverize his enemy
But didn’t have one as far as any of us roommates could see
I’d mangle and maim them like a warrior wrecking ball
His only enemies are on video games, our friend Paul

Premium Member We All Have Devices

We all have devices the eight-year-old happily said.
My whole family plays them through supper until time for bed.
Video games? Sure! I play Farmer Fruity Furlough Fred.
No communication with my family and no books are read.

Children of Nowadays

More Social Media, TV and VIDEO GAMES, Less House Chores and Outdoor Activities! Playing is Greater than Working, Shame!
A few of them work, but most of them are busy watching films and playing games on phones and other gadgets.

Premium Member Just Because I Said I Do

He cheats on me with video games,
Cuts out my voice with music;
The clothes all over the house,
But I'm the one who cleans;
Dishes fill the sink,
They just sit and wait for me;
Just because I said I do?
Level up chump! Tough Love!

Video Games

Slow steady breaths
Quick flicks of the hand
The grip of a controller in your hand
The feeling of the headset resting upon you
The sounds
The lights
The action
Oh the games you can play
Oh the people you can meet
Oh what a game can be!

Premium Member Hula Hoops and Pedal Pushers

Hula hoops and pedal pushers
Baseball cards and Slinkies
Penny loafers and bobby sox
Pony tails and a dime jukebox

Where are all the fads today --
But for video games we play --
Electronic devices all the rage
Hi-tech gadgets, center stage

Premium Member Rubs

Swimming slowly in a pool
playing video games with you
helps me to unwind
but there is one thing that does it
every time
when you rub my tired feet
I slowly smile, forget the work week
I forget all the stress
I wish those rubs were endless

Premium Member Pta Conference

PTA Conference with Mom.
You mean you don’t have an hour and a half lunch?
Child looks smug.
You don’t get off at 1:20?
More smug.
You don’t let them play video games during their hour
morning break?
This kid is a genius.
How can I possibly grade him?

Video Games and Hallucinations

After grueling sessions of

Guitar Hero 3,

I would often look to the mirror

to my right

and marvel at how

my vision was affected by the game,

with the mirror becoming twisted

and augmented,

slithering across the wall in my living room.

Weekend Thrill

Weekend thrill.
Friday night no home football game. Video games are a bore. Wrestling the same
old stuff. So what good is the weekend.
Sunday is here what a thrill needed to clean. The rotten grill.
Monday can't get here fast enough.
Then only four days to be completed. Then it's back to the weekend!

Shadowed Timelines

So much calamity is going on out there in the world
Our painful memories of eras past have now unfurled
The echoes of what once was all seem so unparalleled
Tribes from all over the depths are hearing the alarm bells

Disclaimer: I was playing video games when I wrote this; this isn't about real life.

Video Games

When one begins
and picks up the controller
he hopes he wins
but most become bipolar.

they think they are the best
they hope and pray,
that they are better then the rest
but most are in disarray.

they continue for hours
doing nothing but staring
but what it does is devours
while they sit there swearing.

Drip,Drop,Plop?

Running around
Playing tag
All of a sudden we hear...
Drip,Drop,Plop?
Oh NO! It`s raining!
Sliding on ice
Skating and twirling
When out of no where we hear...
Drip,Drop,Plop?
Oh NO! It`s raining!
Watching television
Messing with video games
We look up and hear...
Drip,Drop,Plop???
OH NO! It`s time for a bath!!!

The Fam

Mu uncle Franklin
was a pro wrestler.
He lit up a room
like Nikola Tesla.

My aunt Judy
was a cake maker.
Her cakes were tall
like an LA Laker.

My brother Steve
played video games
-until my mom Kate
called him names.

Kate, to her credit
was a fine, fine artist.
But with brains, forget it.
I am the smartest.

Premium Member Crazy Monorhyme For Fun

Had three goals and five tiny aims.
Truth not braggadocio, mind claims.
Imagination issues all of the blames.
Thinking up new powerful video games.

My best idea is from the River Thames.
Following my dream about England’s King James.
I am not usually one to drop celebrity names,
But this poem is toast, going up in flames.
