my sadness dispelled
by the sound of canaries
melodies carried
throughout the air and my heart
vanquishing sad emotions
You can’t destroy
a word
like vanquishing
an enemy
Its meaning cast
immortal
beyond
— victory or death

Emerging from darkness
Vanquishing foes
Marching to victory
Standing as heroes
Legends of History
Lords of the Fall
Kings of the Diamond
Gods of Baseball
citrus sun with lancers beaming above eastern hills, vanquishing gloom

I Am Free of Bondage, Breaking Chains of Misery
shattering the Crux, crucifying Veils of Slavery
vanquishing the Impermanent for nothing is of Impermanence
by the Greater Way, I claim the Sun like Copernicus
The young lovers eloped in the gaudy spring
Vanquishing for aye the foreboding feeling
Burgeoning in a vehement devotion
Bonding the two souls with a zeal emotion

A grotesque gamer gobbles gummies grunting gleefully at his game.
Sounds of slaughter spewing from the surround sound speakers.
The cunning commando combats a clearing 'cross countless cretins.
Validating his victory only after violently vanquishing the virtual villains.
Living LOVE created mankind in time and space,
Only One was created, womb pure and undefiled,
Vanquishing Veracity descended into the human race,
Eucharistic Epiphany, Son of God,..LOVE's only Child.

The death spiral of a Space-X rocket
looking like a portal to an otherworld
where I long to enter and belong
like velvet on a royal gown,
with silk ribbons in my braided hair
flowing down the castle stair...
and a knight, my own Sir Gallahad,
vanquishing the dragons
waiting to devour me.
Yield
To God
For strength’s grace
Vanquishing foes
By His granted armor and truth’s weapon.
Championing what’s right, be strong in the Lord*
Running life's race
Serving well
With faith’s
Might!
*Ephesians 6:10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

...Then, as expected, came a post-rider,
with a new letter he had to deliver:
A rancher facing evils not of this Earth,
so Sol saddled up, double-checked the girth.
Then rode out northwards in the morning dim,
never again would Victorville see him,
but this was God’s price for things he had done,
fighting monsters to earn his redemption.
Faith*
seeks God
pleasing Him
thru His precepts
which assure His grace;
despite despair…
vanquishing,
shutting
doubts!
*Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Truth* glows
vanquishing blaze
deceit spreads as good news...
now tortured conscience admits guilt:
peace reigns.

to all that call upon him in truth.

Futuristic climes
Beckoning to surpass
Spurring inventive minds
Since moon crater’s crevasse
Once known world denigrates
Human kind expiring
Lost to predicted fates
Stupendous vanquishing
fires onward challenges
Achievable data
Opens advantages
Kaleidoscope strata
Gravitational pull
Precludes events to plumb
Vessel christened ‘Virgin Wool’
Mankind decides outcome

Joy* in Christ, triumphant glee
Prevails with wonderful peace
Midst trials, to God I flee…
…His grace and mercy don’t cease.
The Saviour grants joyous hope
When I’m grieved by sufferings
Instilling patience to cope
Vanquishing angst-murmurings.
*Psalm 32:11 Be glad in the LORD, and rejoice, ye righteous: and shout for joy, all ye that are upright in heart.

Godly success is Providence-wrought victory*
While yielding to the Holy Ghost for power
Against self-glorying motive, arrogantly destructive.
Dependence to the Lord in doing His will
While obeying Him propelled by faith and love
Brings sure triumph, vanquishing personal whims.
*2Samuel 23:12 But he stood in the midst of the ground, and defended it…and the LORD wrought a great victory.

On sunny days, I feel a little dazed,
And see my life as easy, bright, and blazed.
Until the next day when it rains so hard,
I bellowed my thoughts and saw them get marred.
As the coin flickering head or a tail,
When tossed up to redeem your fragile grail.
Life vanquishing well your prejudiced say,
With a flick of her magical foreplay.
And in intercourse she may be quite rude,
Untamed or tranquil depends on her mood.
A heron s t r u t s across the lonely beach,
while ocean waves deposit shells and more.
Gulls break the morning silence with their
screech,
as over ocean tides they swoop and soar,
searching for some tidbit along the shore.
A salt sea breeze like a whispered prayer,
caresses the shore with a gracious flair.
Soon humanity will dare to intrude,
vanquishing a tranquility that's rare,
to celebrate summer with gratitude.

Peace
sweet chimes
ring in our hearts
echo love’s gracious gifts
of pardon and mercy from God
vanquishing guilt of bitterness tremors
as faith* silences troubling doubts
shouting
fears.
*Romans 5:1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

I anticipate
the marching campaigns
of your fingertips,
the mapping of vexed trails
to be conquered
those relentless, lawless, crusades
over every sensitive summit.
You've built empires
over my every nerve
and toppled each
with gratifying urgency.
Ah! My Lover,
my one man Dynasty
the way you command my passion
and possess the whole of my flesh
in the palm of your hand
is a vanquishing to be relished...
I'll never surrender.
Creeping crawling and tantalizing
Revamped and vandalizing
It creeps in
Clawing, digging, murderously thieving
Killing as it steals and thrills
It sneaks in
Vanquishing and smothering suppression
Suppressing all, thought of light regressing
It got in
Get it out, spit it back out. YOU DON'T WANT THIS TO GET IN!
Phlegm will choke you, but keep going and free yourself from sin
Dark's spittle can never, EVER..
Ah... here we are again my darling
It can win
Compassion* of God reigns as love’s best work, vanquishing hate’s might
Reaching down to mankind’s guilty hearts ... for clemency's offer
Now creating in us gracious service --- blest with peace and bliss.
Psalm 145:8 The LORD is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy.

God is my sufficiency*-seal
With His abundance of generous replenishment
Vanquishing torturous discontentment
For my faith to increase with service-deal.
God is my satisfaction-sufficiency
With His joy of divine comfort’s cheer
Subduing despondency-gloom and fear
For my heart to be glad by prayer-fervency.
*2Corinthians 3:5 Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God.
