Seaside Tranquility

A heron s t r u t s across the lonely beach,
while ocean waves deposit shells and more.
Gulls break the morning silence with their
    screech,
as over ocean tides they swoop and soar,
searching for some tidbit along the shore.
A salt sea breeze like a whispered prayer,
caresses the shore with a gracious flair.
Soon humanity will dare to intrude,
vanquishing a tranquility that's rare,
to celebrate summer with gratitude.

I really enjoyed your poem, I love the scene you described and I really dislike it when humanity intrudes - so you touched parts of me in a most personal way. All the best ... CayCay
