What goes up
     must come down
But can it go back up again?

   Hope so, when --
     your jaw drops, my friend

Silly Willie Ups a Dilly

The best 2021 perk
Was a space flight for Captain Kirk
An Enterprise
Where no one dies
Proving fantasy just might work
Form: Limerick

Premium Member Ups and Downs

life is just
a series
of ups
and downs
I keep looking
for the UPS
but those darn
brown trucks
always pass
me by.

Premium Member Hang Ups

Angrily hanging up a smartphone lacks gravitas - jabbing a virtual button doesn’t offer the satisfying, physical release of slamming down a receiver

Life's Ups and Downs

The elevator of life

opening and closing of door's

at each level

not knowing what to expect

sheer joy of discovery

of the higher self.....

Premium Member Life's Ups and Downs

Life is filled with ups and downs But smiles usually outweigh the frowns There will be a plus Forget all the fuss Think happy and wear a pretty gown

Ups and Downs

What drives us is towards better gain,
but there’s winning; losing and some pain,
so when on life’s highway,
if it all comes your way
then at times you’re in the wrong lane.
Form: Limerick

That Is How Life Goes

Flaws and scores
Less and more
Foes and pals
Toils and malls
Walls and doors
Ceilings and floors
Joyrides and loads
Woods and roads
There’s never a pause
That is how life goes

Premium Member The Give-Ups of Life

Anxiousness cause a breakout in hiccups,
When sentences sound like dainty teacups,
I cough them out, like troopers,
Catch audience jaws, droopers,
Hard look made all of them, only shut up.

Premium Member Life's Ups and Downs

Life's ups and downs, smiles and frowns All part of living, as the world goes round Patience my friends All's good in the end Good stuff's coming around the very next bend Rah! Rah! Rah!
Form: Limerick

Premium Member Pop-Ups

Another night of dreams,
one after another, flickering half images
echo real events but bare my heart.

I try on new realities,
like dazzling garments or popup stores
of evanescent wants I may not admit to myself.

Premium Member Ups and Downs

Processing grief is an overwhelming process
of momentous highs and lows -
which can bring the joy of a wonderful
memory and the next moment
brings the lows of the crushing loss
but HOPE shows itself as life continues

Little No More

Those
days are gone
When anything makes
You Angry or sad ,stressed
You just cry

Ups and Downs

Though we have our ups and downs
On this path of life
Through happiness and sadness,
Harmony and strife
We come good from path we stood
On a levelled plane
With built in feelings for all dealings,
To withstand again...

I remember the sun shining bright
I remember the world seeming right

I remember ominous clouds of grey
I remember the illusion melting away

Ups and Downs

At the beginning it is slow
Speeding up
Like the fastest fighter jet ever
Faster
Faster
Screaming
Twisting Turning
Flying Soaring
Endless ups and downs
Anticipation of an end
Finally the ends has come
Why don’t we give it another go

Ups N Downs

yes p.d. ups n downs and ins n outs, of personality, love n hate and inward shouts, of fires that burn with no one about, though love be pure insanity, discolored be the vanity, shut up johnson its your shout:) don't tango with humanity... Don

Ups and Downs

When I am down ~
down ~
down ~
You lift me
up ~
up ~

And when you’re down ~
down ~
down ~
I lift you
up ~
up ~

Together we lean on each other,
Together we are one.
Together, happiness is ours ~
I love you.

Premium Member Claustrophobia

Someone broke my best friend’s heart.
They’d been together throughout the entire lock-down.
And even though it looks like we’re entering a freer time,
he said it felt like she’d become part of the claustrophobia.

Explanations can snag on nerves like fishhooks.

Premium Member Ups and Downs of Life

open heart
willing hands
happiness abounds

maniacal feelings
lithium helps
sheer sadness now

high on life
whizzing around room
love for strangers

cutting begins
worthless feelings
life seems hopeless

joyfulness out of bounds
entertaining love for life
falling to doom

Ups and Downs

Smiles
for fun
cuddly pets
falling in love
small children trying things for the first time

When I see someone treated unfairly
war and hunger
unshed tears
make me
frown

The Ups and Down

Let me be
The person I was born to be
The person I want to be
The person I am meant to be

Let me be me,me,me
Exercising my intelligence
Formulating my goals
Proceeding with my dreams

Let me go
Tackling those obstacles
Embracing those challenges
Writing what is meant to be written

You and I Forever

I don't know
On what to do
With heart
Barely intact
Too much wound to sew
I miss you
Sadly
I need you
Badly
Come to me
And hug me
Hold me tight my dear
Please wipe away your tears
You
And I forever
