Millennial's Curse

Earbuds in and phone in hand,
millennial’s converse

Language distant, eyes unshared,
their lives on hold—obverse

A Valentine Plea

Oh Lady, you make my head wobbly spin. Don’t show such a harsh contemptuous grin. I fall prostrate at your feet. From you, expect a fair treat. Your sole unshared love, can I ever win!

Freedom

destroy the body, free the mind.
everything gets left behind.
although I don't have much to leave,
it's not as beautiful as it seems.
I can feel it approaching.
but im not scared.
the freedom is filling, the sickness unshared.

Explaining My Thoughts?

Explaining My Thoughts? Miracle Man (Archives) Trying to explain some thoughts Is like trying to discern why I had them; But then, thoughts aren’t meant to be explained And more often than not, go unshared;

One To Care

Unschooled, undisciplined,
  my spirit forged on

Past theory and dogma,
  past anthem and song

A serendipitous storm,
  thoughts, feelings, unshared

All masking together,
 —with just one to care

Elba Blues

That unshared secret…
a crawlspace of denial
where shadows keep your heart at bay,
lonely all the while

To hide in darkened corners,
as falsehood lends its smile
your mind left cramped—all virtue tramped,
banished and exiled

Weirdly That Is the Last 3 Words of My Last Poem

The room glanced around me unknowingly,
a gilded fingertip held to lips,
A finished thought unshared
In the whisperness i see your dark
A simpered yes has no flaws
A life lived in the storms port
Beating the skin above the shared heart,
All my sighs are welcomed,
Faith in time i ate
like moths feeding on something lacy

I Remember You Softly

I remember you softly
That gentle ache
that reverberated through the bone
brought the tears to home
unshared and alone
now gone
Replaced by the numb
Jagging tacks in the flesh of the thumb
Reflex don't condone
Pity has been sewn
nothing grown
Bend you light around
Shadows just pass by
in the land of numb
nothing left to die

Etch

I love hope
wish i had some
hard to write words
with all the effort stopping my tears
nothing inspires
sadness slowly suffocates
unshared words
with your dead eyes
looking for salvation
at the touch of a key
loneliness hides beneath
the nothingness that shapes my being
and time smiles as it gives another second
in trade for more pain

Four Friendly Senryus

Four Smiley Senryus Put a smile pon’ your Face…when you think about it There’s no better place! There’s naught more pleasant Than a smile freely given Charity is free Each gruff word spoken Each smile unshared…signs of A soul cold and bare Look for it…It’s there But you’ll never see it lest… You look and you care

Remembering Shadow Me

my former self lurks in the shadows
Watching others live the life I wanted
jealousy swirls into my head
hardening my heart

shadow me is angry most of the time
looking for the bad in people
perpetually finding it
proof the world is a scary place

my former self hides from the world
her talents are unshared
lying helplessly dormant and smelling
i do not evolve until I become a mother

A Mother's Heart

A mother's heart bleeds
as it beats
as she grieves
for all those lost
like fallen leaves

Her secrets mingle forever
with tears
Unlocked,
unshared,
the relentless years

She has no voice but
Love
Unreciprocated
unrequited
love

No role more testing
than her own
in the unfolding plan
she loves
alone

Powerless, she stands
before joy
before pain
as the arrows that pierce her heart
fall again

In Passing

All thoughts, all dreams,
They come and go,
And passing quickly, die unshared

A smile, a touch,
A simple soul
Is all I need to take me there

Although I've changed,
Although I've grown,
My heart is still without a song

Just let me have,
Just let me know,
Before my life can pass along

If I can feel,
Then I will fly,
Forsaking every idle care

And I will live,
And I will die,
Content to be a moment shared.

Is it Goldilocks

The Sassy Squirrel Six stared into their unshared hole
Trying to figure out who was in there was the ultimate goal
What was she doing down there? Who was that thin?
Is it Goldilocks? Is it a doll? Is it a mannequin?

The creature came a bit closer and they scrambled away.
A weird start to their usual nut-gathering day.
Terrified of what she might do next; with a bit of a fright.
Few humans crawl into a squirrel hole, am I right?

Tax Thought

Tax time again, again, again
Anxious crunching of the days
Xenogenous shaking of the brain
Empty checkbooks, delays
Severing theory from truth.

Income diminished by rising cost
Severe dislocation of expectations

Undistributed wealth, profits unshared
National bills unpaid by the very rich
Justice forgotten in broken schools
Undeveloped communities, and roads
Statistics say wars get the lion's share
The tenor of egos, and representation wares.

crone understands bee medicine

The wizened crone understands bee medicine
Her friends are honey bees and bumblebees.
They have given her a special formula
Unshared with any other humans

She gives it to an adventurer
He discovers a new country.
She sells it to a rapist.
He falls down dead.

It helps good people get stronger
It gives seekers what they need
But those who hurt others do not do well with it
The old crone continues doling out the medicine.
Loving the results.

A Time To Share

time before time is not endless
life without time is emptiness
when time is present and not ending
that is the time to fill that void

time beyond time is life ever after
an eternal season unchanging
those true feelings unshared before time ends
were held emotions which swirled and snarled

when time has come, life won’t be empty
one has fulfilled their time by sharing
this generated light before darkness came
all of which leaves light before and after time

Joy Arise

Sojourn a moment, O Life, I cannot cease,
While yet my soul unfolds with dawn’s first light;
Bright are my days, and rich the world’s embrace
Where laughter springs in flight.

Sojourn a moment, O Life, I cannot cease
With all my moments unadmired,
My smiles unshared, all my songs unsung,
And all my peace unwired.

Sojourn a moment, until my heart has known
The fullness of sun and shifting skies;
Till every shadow yields its hidden gleam,
O Life, let joy arise!

Life Is a Dream

Magic breathes life in our hearts
 Destiny resides in our souls

Our path now shimmers unshared by the night
With one embrace partnered by a tender kiss, the bounds

of time and distance crumble through fingers like drifting
 grains of sand

Dream time is the place where I am alive
Green eyes ripple into lipid pools where miracles draw me

 to your heart
I am free to swim by your side until the sun sets and

 rides with you again
 Life is a dream

 I love you.

Does It Matter

Does it matter?

If every song must have an end
does it matter what song I send?
If love's a thing words can't reveal
does it matter what I feel?

If where's not what I want to know
does it matter where I go?
We know loves rarely coincide
and unshared love we all deride.

So, if who and when and where and how
do not matter then or now,
will it matter at the close
what my heart most feels most knows?

But in spite of all, I send to thee
this song of love from here and me.
