Winter, you made your poise known
   swayed drooping of upper leaves
      now gray, lay on underside
        unbowed by love heartfelt greaves

Gestures
A killer moon
blinks
in a mating dance.

Smothered by kisses
frugal night
seethes with anger.

In synchronized,
house of limbs -;
the pink underside.

Fireflies
lost the way
between light and dark.

Of sunflowers
and a nude
lies a tale.

Perched minds peruse the mystery
Observe a beauty they do not perceive
Explore the underside of leaves, ignore
Trees deep tangle
Roots that lead to
Yesterday.

Sunrise forever breaks
On white sand truth
Under the silent guise
Poetic muse

An advance of clouds
Toward the North
Greeted the afternoon,
Crocodile head and turtles surfacing
Overhead spectrums low.
Bottoms drop tails to the ground,
The underside of a toadstool
Greeted evening.
And out of the hand that lifted it,
Boltings lanced to the ground
As night began its closing....

Winter taunts with his sunset
   blushing the underside of clouds
with colors of Spring blossom pinks
   stretched across the waning sky.

Painted as with an artist’s

teasing my soul
   languishing in yearning
   for the breath of Spring,
Reminding me who watches
   how very distant
Spring blossoms be.

Premium Member Too Late
It sticks to the underside
of what's out there,
a shadow
on the other side of knowing,
waiting, growing
and creeping closer
when eyes are focussed
elsewhere. It prefers
not to have a name.

One day, it will break cover
and pounce or slip quietly
through an unguarded gate.
Only then will you be able
to give it a name
and by then
it will be too late....

Nature
Sitting on my window ledge
I had glimpse of nature's pledge;
To her children far and wide,
Sperm whales or plants underside;
Moonshine falls on silver trees,
Birdlets sleep at hint of croon;
Calm seas, there's no trace of sleaze,
I've seen her in diving loon.

Lost and Found
Beloved,
I had written your name on the walls of my heart,
pasted your invisible image on the core of my being,
deep, deep in the depths of space and time
everywhere I searched for you,
I looked for you on the underside of willow leaves,
inside the bubbles on crystal mountain streams,
amidst the wild-flowers on the meadow
and all that I found was my Self.

A Wicking Tree
As the molecules expand in air
from the roots of the cold ground
to the warmer the branches where they bond

then it rain cool upward side
down the trunk to the roots because the underside of the branch bow up with pride

then falls the air temp and the constricts

during summer chill , the trunk restricts...

Forgetting
What was about this face ?
Between mirage and actuality ?
A fireball was coming towards you.
You upturn the underside,
wanted to taste the blood
and get argasm.
The statues were posing nude.

Mothers were clad in leaves.
Fruits were the greed of man.
I refuse to lie in state. The
sand grains will find the innocence
of silver breasts when sky will
spat a murder. Were you ready
now to become corrupt ?

At last the beginners are now
becoming the boots.

Premium Member Daddy Had Girls
August sun,
Leaves smell of heat,
You can hear the holly hocks turn to seed.
The pile of trimmed twigs snap as they dry.

Sister paints the cross pieces
The top of the board
The flat
And the underside

I come behind and paint the broad, flat boards
With long strokes up and down,
Back and forth.
Paint drips on my hand.

Hair tied back in kerchiefs,
Hot,
Sweaty,
The paint smells hot as the sun dries it.

Huckleberry Finn’s fence,
But Daddy had girls....

"Bluestocking"

Blue blew in
like the truth
in many different
shades

one tried
immersing in
shades of shadow
but the light was louder

Blue blew in
like a neon sign
flashing its underside
like a stocking’s ladder

the terminal
loudspeaker
for departure
was like a shot

of Uranian Blue Piñaq
arriving not soon
enough,
knocked back

some kind of
heady celebration

exits
arrivals

Knife Into Us
Ethics of brands will find
         out the anatomist,
who will rip apart the hope
         from the bones.

Death will come from
         underside. The sky
will remain blue even after
         the murder of the moons.

The revenge at dawn
         was very painful. The
crows will scatter the
         light from your hands.

The mobile towers had
         come to a standstill.
Sparrows had become suspicious,
         left for a holy bath.

Premium Member Sounds of Three Visitors To My Garden
Early morning, the trill
with a buzz, is weighted toward the beak,
tail twitching, side to side,
underside barred: my friendly wren.

The click in the heavy heat of summer
the bright flame on winter day or hidden in shade
the silent rustle, the graying double,
steady chew, chew, chew, encouraging tweets:
my pair of nesting cardinals.

Nightfall, the flump, flump of wings plop down,
or rise up to say who, who: mourning dove's lament
songs by which to sleep and dream....
