Ladybug

Ladybug, my Ladybug, Large you're not and not a slug. Leaves you-leap to so cute my little bug. Like Strawberry wings does my heart you tug. Light and small you are zephyr does snug. Lawn and garden blooms you hug. Lace azalea on leaf underside does shrug, Last the spider looking so smug. Ladybug, you’re my little Ladybug, 3/14/2023

I loved your line, "Like Strawberry wings" Oh my goodness... I read this over and over. I still believe that if a ladybug lands on you, that means good luck will come your way :0) I know this was not intended for children, but I think a class of first or second graders would just love this and enjoy illustrating it, I know I would. So peaceful and so pretty Eve.

Ladybugs are as sweet and charming as your "shape" poem Eve. And, they eat aphids on apple trees and rose bushes! Thanks for this visual and verbal delight. Congrats and high fives my friend. Blessings!

The ladybugs are out in full force in Spring Hill, TN... You got my curiosity in motion so I went to Google and found out that there are male ladybugs too, very hard to distinquish w/o a magnifying glass. Nice alliteration and rhyme mixed, Eve.

There is an old children's rhyme called Lady Bug Lady Bug Fly Away Home. But with your observant sagacity it is obvious that in nature a ladybug is always at home. A beautiful contribution to the contest! Robert
