Premium Member Ugliness
Under the skin, it lurks -
Ungodly, ungrateful,
Unjust, and raring to
Unleash viciousness with
Unconscionable acts.
Utterly devoid of
Understanding, it reeks!

Feel your blood bubbling under the skin
As an erupting volcano
At a scorching boiling point
Causing an intense rage
Seen in the behold
As beady eyes
Until you
Regain
Peace

We Are Golden
Ripples in a pool, like the ramblings of a fool,
Arc outwards and die, like us all, you and I.
Incurable romantics, and, despite the semantics,
No man is an island, we are one under the skin,
Be it gay, straight or bi, we are all of one kin.
Only remember, we are what we are
Wisps of dust, born of the same star....

Brother of mine
Where have you been
Because ive been so lost
Without my kin
They've come for my heart
They're under the skin
Dont think ill make it
'Cause im drowning in sin
IM NOT MADE OF TIN
Brother im not made of tin
Thought my skin was thick
Turns out that its thin
Im not made of tin
Brother im nit made of tin
After all...

Dig
A shovel to the skull.

Dig
the
words
out

or tear them from under the skin.
They lie right at the surface,
but buried deep enough
that the casket fits,
filled with the ones she killed
when she didn't give breath to them
or a touch from the hands
that bring them life.

Dig.

Find the graves and save the ones still lost
becuase they will do the same....

Bread of Life
Jesus
First said, “I tell
You, the poor are always
With us. They do not go away.”
Feed them.

Jesus
Last said, “I am
The bread of life; take, eat.
Do this in remembrance of me.”
Be fed.

Brothers
Under the skin,
Groaning deep with hunger.
If you have more than you need, then
Feed them.

When Young Men Die
When young men meet with
inexplicably sudden and biting ends,
not the whitewashed passing of those long in the tooth,
     the silver-maned for whom all mourning may expire at death;
that burrowed-under-the-skin ache
where labored breath takes speechless flight
and bids farewell to carefree thought -
that a God of love
carries my heavy heart
seems inadequate in its wake....

Breathing Again
You dig in your heels,
when blood spills
under the skin.

Refuses to go, the homeless moon,
I will call the snow to cover the sod.

Scavenging,
through the stray thoughts, you
pick up the threads, to knit?
a scarf for the poem.

Body born, a planet
breaks, in your epic. The ivory
shaving will make a white gold.

The birth pangs start in natal pain.

Inside-Out
Body rejects itself,
Bone-dry and like a furnace,
It burns alive, kill
It is sand, dead

Dig two graves,
Refuse to rot,
This isn’t revenge.

Hate the body,
It’s nothing but problematic.

One ear open,
Stay somewhat conscious.

Maggots crawl in the body, tearing under the skin,
Refuse to rot, feel it inside-out.

Fling a rope,
It will not reach,
YOUR BODY isn’t strong enough....

Premium Member Whom Do These Old Hands Belong
I stare at these old hands, where is the timekeeper?
Who can count my rings? Will they have to slice me?
How can these ancient hands be attached to my wrists?
Flipping them over I see that my pale skin is thinning
Three prominent blue veins under the skin touch my bracelets
Where is the time keeper? Why are the seconds so fast now?
I stare at these old hands, wondering to whom these old hands belong....

Heavy
It’s heavy down here...
Weariness is worn like dark cloaks
Strange faces fade in and out
Of a hauntingly familiar dream
Lost in a moment of out-of-focus thoughts
Back again with exhausting effort to keep going
A smile feels like trickery;
Betrayal of that what is under the skin,
Behind the skull
Shaking sweaty arms holding an unbearable load
Sometimes it crashes against my head…
It’s so heavy here....

Pain
Pain is weakness leaving the body,
Bleeding through the skin
Pain is a knife,
constantly twisting into your side
Pain is a teardrop,
Crashing to the floor
Pain is the anger,
That breaks through the bars
Pain is persistent,
getting under the skin
Pain is the screaming,
No one cares to listen to
Pain is the screeching,
You can't stand to hear
Pain is everyone's worst fear,
But pain only makes you stronger...

Outside the Mind
prisoner of retribution,
he was buried under a salt lake,

elusive, his crotch,
not far from stings of wasps,

the blood spills,
he would wonder how to catch the truth

in black river,
wrapped in imperforated causes,

leaking with curses,
black conjugation of greeds,

with the grief unbuckling the grudges,
uncut wounds, festering under the skin,

the stink starts scything, he starts
folding the denials, in self praise

COLD DAY

Cold day
June 29th
Windy
Leaf shadows ice the tree trunks
Sunshine looks cold
And there is helter-skelter

Cold day
Barely into summer
When the leaf-dance begins it tangos rather than waltzes
Under the skin is still warm
But the weather boils cold

Cold day
June 29th
What will July bring?
July sits just under the sun looking down
watching its chance to filter in
But June will go out with a shiver...

Ritual
A coming together
Of family and friends
For a ritual old as the hills
Is fraught with emotion
And laughter and tears,
Whatever the kinship instills.

For sharing one’s joy
Is the ultimate prize
That’s awarded to kith and to kin
Who’ve been there by your side
For the ups and the downs
And connect with you under the skin.

Oh, how lucky I feel,
So surrounded by love,
To be buoyed on a magical high
As we welcomed the son
Of my son and his bride –
There is no one more grateful than I!...

Premium Member Eternally Beautiful
speaking from
the soul
in ways
that touch
feelings sweetly
eternal bliss
deep within

words draw passion
burning hot desire
softly you hold
within your hands
emotions of
the heart

under the skin
cotton soft
gentle lips
fluttering kisses
deep inside
it's you love

igniting sparks
burning desires
who makes
life complete
love it's you
from now
until the sands
of time
run out

we walk
soul to soul
two hearts together
in eternity
within you
i found paradise...
