Cold Day

COLD DAY Cold day June 29th Windy Leaf shadows ice the tree trunks Sunshine looks cold And there is helter-skelter Cold day Barely into summer When the leaf-dance begins it tangos rather than waltzes Under the skin is still warm But the weather boils cold Cold day June 29th What will July bring? July sits just under the sun looking down watching its chance to filter in But June will go out with a shiver

Was it really cold on June 29? It has been really hot here but then we have had some better days since July came in..Some breezes stirring which has helped to dry the air out some..That humidity here is awful in the summer..Keep the creative pen flowing..Thanks for stopping by and commenting on my work.. Well, did it heat up yet, Daver? Maybe the fireworks this weekend will help provide more of a summer atmosphere. It's hot as Hades here and I'd gladly trade places with you! Love, Carolyn

We had a taste of this, Daver! It was still beautiful, I think. Like the sun and the rain were in a battle. Love the imagery. Goes to my favs! Peace, love, Audrey

June has not gone out with a shiver under my summer sunshine, which peaked to 103 yesterday!! Give me a little shiver for the end of June! It would be gladly welcome here! Love this little poem!! :) Love, Carrie
