Bread of Life

Jesus
First said, “I tell
You, the poor are always
With us. They do not go away.”
Feed them.

Jesus
Last said, “I am
The bread of life; take, eat.
Do this in remembrance of me.”
Be fed.

Brothers
Under the skin,
Groaning deep with hunger.
If you have more than you need, then
Feed them.

Nice message here. We should all follow this advice. Thanks for your nice comments and, yes, it is OK to watch Family Guy now and then. The Simpsons is better though

This is a very nice poem. We, in America, have left most of the feeding up to the government. Who, then receives the blessings? Your poem is true. We need to look around and help both here and abroad. Good luck in the contest. Lovingly, Dane
