Apple Tree Mother
you hated your mothers treatment
unkind uncared unfair
not positive nor decent
with age you left her spare

yet it was to be the blueprint
when raising kids of your own
and now they've done what you did
and left you there alone...

Homeless
In old rags
Biting cold winter night
Sleeping in footpath
Under open sky
Uncared for
Abandoned
No emotions ~
Only Silence

Vulture
You have shown me
Truly
What it means
To be a vulture amongst mourning doves
To witness pain,
Absolute and final,
And feel only hunger
Gnawing with merciless lust, are we
On the skin
On delicacies uncared for
With no regard for what once was
Only what can now be
...

Just a Lonely Rose
On a forgotten grave, uncared

for many years, laid a lonely rose

put there by a stranger just passing by.

Who out of the kindness of his tender

heart had to do this kind deed

for this poor old woman, who

no one seemed to care about,

until now that is.

I Can Live
11.	I CAN LIVE

I’ve outlived
the winter’s
allergies
and depressing rains
in a human zoo

I can live
my retirement too
without pension and
medicare:

the wheelchair
doesn’t frighten
I can live

uncared and unknown
survive broken home
the numbness of the
arms
the pain in the
neck

and inflation too...

Door To Love
What lies behind it, Dare I take a look and see. Looks very old, uncared for, What secrets does it hide, Nothing here but a broken heart Left bruised and broken Lonely without hope and love Now firmly locked and bolted Key thrown away for good No one can cross the threshold now. Penned July 18 2014 by Seren Roberts Contest: Door to a Wayra - Nette Onclaud

Premium Member Abandoned and Forgotten
Furious females take to the streets, shouting
Staid matrons join them, newly doubting

Angry young males overturn cars, defiant
Older men surrender their values, and riot

Lawyerly senators attack each other, at virtual war
As the issues that really matter, go uncared for

Civility is abandoned, all but forgotten
A nation's lifeblood tainted, utterly rotten...

It's Time To
My body flips me off and I fall down
Into the sunburnt grass;
It's telling me “It’s time to sleep!
Just look how good this bed of
Uncared for dirt appears in the
Afternoon shade?
Pray, tell me why you will not
Dream now when your
Dorm room didn't catch a wink?”
And I smile at its
Upturned two middle fingers and say,
“Well body, it's actually time to write for me.”...

Pour down the waters, May they fall over The sanctuary so it May flower abundantly. May the fruit it bear Belong to you The honey it produces Be sweeter than most. May the territorial waters Live like a spirit, Roaming over the earth Like liberated winds. I am the sad sanctuary Untamed and uncared for, Waiting for the gardner To come and tend to it.

Hope
Near my altar blooms a flower
She blooms all alone in times of Winter
She refuses the Autumn, so that there the blossom
In July rain she blooms uncared of rain and my home
Bees hadn't touched her; breeze hadn't fluttered her
May be you can see my altar but not the posy
I can simply sit near her and only some prayers I may offer
For there near my altar blooms a flower that is beauty.

Oh I Love This Day
I feel like
The rain is about to pour
On me
Vigorously
She knows that
I worship rain
Yet,
This time
I feel sad
Act sad

The stone has to be left
Unturned, Uncared
Unnoticed

For the thing that is
I shouldn’t care
Or less
With the fact known
I shouldn't dare
To stop the rain
Them,
Let the memories drain
For long ago
A mirror showed
This day,
Was on its way
She might dry her tears out
Now,
But,
Oh!! I love this day!!!...

Premium Member Ugly Words
bland, plain, simple, uncaring, unkind
These are ugly words
spinster, old maid, crone, hag, these are ugly words
blah, dribble, drip, droopy, dreary, depressing
Do I have to say it?

gray, tan, unclean, unkempt, uncared for, unloved
these are ugly words
words that hurt, maim, kill, bruise and make people cry
idiot, dummy, despicable, unwanted

any words that make you feel less than yourself
words that make someone cry
These are ugly words...

Dead Inside
I've lived my life lonely and scared
Filled with pain and anger
While kids ran to their parents
I was left uncared
To all who think i'm happy and bright
I say you think wrong
Because my heart is dead as the night
So I don't belong
I've taken blades and razors
Just to free the pain
But when it's about gone
It comes flying back again
So don't try to raise my spirits
It will just go wrong
Because if you didn't know
I was dead inside all along...

RESOLUTIONS

my resolutions?
i don’t dare think how many
so? won’t make any

two thousand thirteen
will come with january
fade – february

just like all the rest
predictions are numerous
cartoons humorous

politicians bad
the voters all up in arms
sick of d.c. charms

prices going up
wages quite stationary
unemployed many

uncared for homeless
with their numbers increasing
and rich desisting

i’ll sit by and watch
expectations will be few
all in all what’s new?...

Depressed and Messed
I can’t control myself, I’m remote
within radio range and scope
but far so small and mote
receiving signals through smoke
directed through ash to choke
seems circular nothing to note
unbearably tied like a rope
no baring clear to approach
unaware I’m walking to croak
in smoke near clifftops and slopes
mind numb uncared and broke
a snowball no brake to poke
an inclined decline no joke
with my lifeline tied I’m roped
and until it ends I’m fooked...

Art: Pablo Picasso
Pablo’s Plight

Blinding color, third eye closed
Squared off chin and angled nose
Arms in the back, feet from head
An odd sight it must be said
Eyes are pared but rarely paired
Ears an afterthought uncared
Daring use of brush and paint
Never quite described as quaint
One boob here and two boobs there
Disjointed limbs evry’ where
Jumbled mess by child’s hand
Or mastered work, each stroke planned?
It all comes down to point of view
What you see is up to you
