Bold, bright as broach,
plucked from 
a distant gaze to settle
the folds of a morning,
unmoved by the dappled light
twitched across its outstretched wings,
a sleeping butterfly
rolled up in a cardboard tube
and sent flying 
halfway across a world
to here, still deep
in its dream....

Bewitched a mundane stitch;
Halloween clown from head to toe
trick, treat.

She walked
Down the dark street
With sweet sounds of laughter.
Skittles, candy corn, M&Ms
Bag full

One, two,
Three, sudden; Poof!
Black spike hat, gown, and boots
Holding a kitten as black cat
Looked out....

it took everything I had 
but they reluctantly stirred to my will

Cold ashes abandoned in the grate also 
mustered under whispered threats
and gentle reproach

Through tortured twists
and painful resolve
hollow bones, wings and talons emerged

I live again -
spirited, proud and free
Rising to face the world anew

The dark drives wind-horses.
They enter the car through your eyes
as you side-slip bends,
veer from contorted shadows.

Once, the hind hoof of a doe
slapped at your face,
the Chevy twitched,
it plowed onward
into the frozen hide of the earth.

When you looked through the rear mirror
you saw yourself
prone and trembling on the asphalt,
while the white-tail escaped
through the iron anvil of night....

Neighbourly insights,
Sudden motion pitched,
Band Aided 'Lycra',
A shaping event horizon,
Of near destruction,
Short pony tail rolled,
A pendulum effect,
Why do fog curtains,
Never use nets?

As my nose twitched,
before the coming sneeze,
time froze, anticipation heightened,
awaiting its inevitable release.

I surfed the bardo,
my thoughtless attention animated,
wherein fulcrum of tremors,
could not be located.

The tumbler did fall,
when I least expected;
I covered my face,
that others be protected.

As for the act,
expelling saliva and air,
it’s a learnt art,
I perform with flair....

Stirring and stirring creating a new blend

Pouring in the Starbucks coffee at the end
Pulling out her broom dripping with
A witches blend of Mocha and Coco
This potion was ready for Glen

They delivered there morse
In lose shoulders 
in dropping face
In gloomy eyes.

So his body rested
Under the warm earth
To be broken into pieces 
To that primitive ocean
Of hydrogen carbon oxygen.

But the soul was freed
In its jolly unrest
Sped through light
Twitched ones ear
Or plucked others hair
Gone was the somber
Gone the heavy air.

and everyone ate and drank heartily 
and the soul lived happily ever after...

climb aboard,
and sink his claws 
into the small of your back
after all, 
its where the sweetmeat is


you stood there 
not batting an eye
while he devoured
and chewed on your psyche


ripping at ligaments
you twitched,
just a mite
and went white


refrain from turning back
refrain from self flagellation


throwing that hairy parasite
off your back


wings will spread again
and paint the doors to heaven
with a Mona Lisa smile...
