Turnabout

I sat there
mocking the Buddha
contemplating
                       ………his navel

Turnabout Is Fair Play
Turnabout is fair play
Resentments push
Anger inspired
Emotional wounds bleeding
Emotional scars scabbing
Hurt feelings avenged
So we try and make
Ourselves believe...

Read Now Look to my wife.
    It’s sad, but it’s true:
When finished, she asked,
    “Is that about you?”
Read She danced with the moon
    and waited to see,
And sure enough, she asked,
  “Is that about me?”...

Premium Member Sail Away Part Four
In the end, around the world they did sail

Their love was like a fairy tale

What was once full of doubt

Became an absolute turnabout

Their life now redefined

They had a wonderful time

This sailor and his wife

Are now partners for life....

Republicans are performing a 'political stunt.'*
Well, they say, turnabout IS fair play!

Meanwhile Mount Merapi** erupts
Because it just doesn't care!

*Karine Jean-Pierre, Whitehouse press briefing, January 22, 2023

Premium Member Now and Then, Again
Listen to poem:
How often a story ends, amen
but embers get revived.
Just when attention shifts
and talk wanes and subsides
Up pops a little 'and then'
An off we go again.

How often 'then' marks a turnabout
A sneaky unexpected kiss
A spiel for some new deal
A U-turn or swing around
So beware and prepare
For yin yang, flips and flops
Now and then, again....

Delirious
How do you pour the ice out,
Without spilling a glass like a spout?
Simple, I simply drink till it's all out,
Then as I cry I give a shout.

How do you pour the sauce out,
Without making the chef pout?
Simple, I simply gobble as I pigout,
Then I satisfactorily sigh as I go out.

How do you go out and about,
Without giving others reason to shout?
Simple, I simply slowly walkabout,
As I pray for a big turnabout....

My Lighthouse, My Love
Where Is My Lighthouse
In This Storm Of Life
For The Light Has Dimmed Or
Maybe Just Gone Out

Tho’ There Are Struggles
Albeit A Lot Of Strife
I Must Keep Pressing Forward
And Not Turnabout

I Often Wonder Who,
Could Even Help Me Find
My Way Through The Squally Waters
 Of This My Lifes’ Stride

Is It You? Are You The One?
To Help Guide Me Through
The Journey Of
This Lifes Storms

Oh How I Wonder And
Oh How I Pray
That You Are My Companion
You Are My Love...

Premium Member The Splendor of Fall
Bright lithe and lively fall morning aroma waft out, Courtly swish through a deft pirouette turnabout. Trees hears psithurism leaves sigh to get a glance. Rain's philter makes the earth surface move and dance. Near the river's edge, ducklings splash in boisterous mirth; Ripples break the repetitious echo of the habitable earth. The day rolls up spent, nightfall slowly creeps and does gain; Gentle nuzzling into the boundless horizon once again. 9/15/2023
