Sighed
Fixated, I saw them sway,
Breeze playing with leaves;reminded of routine,
I sighed and trotted away!...

An Icy Ballet
Went to the park for a WALK today
Froze my bippy, as I TROTTED away
To hell with a saunter
Like a rocket launcher
Was back before I started in this icy ballet...

Woke
--- not stirred ---
same old, same old
bourgeois trojan horse
dusted off, trotted out;
the newest "enemy of the month",
thriving any town is lost
conquered divided....

Trotted
The last time you could say I actually trotted
Had diarrhea, jogged to the washroom, wasn't solid
Yelled out in relief
Avoided more grief
Big smile broke out as I staggered and hollered...

The Four Horsemen
The Four Horses went riding
as I trotted 'round in shame
Two worlds were colliding
and I felt the flame
So here I am in hiding
for I am to blame
Now, Four Horses are dividing
and calling out my name...

Beau Blink
Beau Blink
There once was a Spaniel named, Blink.
Whom at female doggies did wink!
He trotted out one sunny day,
In his own machismo way.
Alas, a skunk blessed him with stink!

The Ferrets
There was a dying breed outside
The forest.
They rose with pallor relished
And true.
Like rhythmic bramble they
Trotted through stream,
Mares and lovers gave way.
Rivered with Rilke,
A new day came to pass.
The ferrets of the un-furrowed brow
Gave brilliance to our every breathe....

Geronimo
Geronimo trotted from lair to lair,
So disgusted with the length of his hair.
At each new spot he dug it deep,
Hoping for some cold to seep.
The sun ablaze found each hole,
And from its depth drove the cold.
And so the day from spot to spot,
Though dug deep contained only hot....

Sort of a Fairy Tale
White Knight gallantly galloped
swiftly 'pon his black steed
to discernibly save the day,
pretty perky princess 'twas awe stricken
with the well endowed stallion,
they trotted abruptly into the future - -
presumptively, the knight retired to the dark side...

Poet Vehicles Used
Poet Vehicles Used
Or is that second hand?
What’s yours?
Chaucer trotted on a horse
John Betjeman via choo choo trains
The knowledgeable Omar Khayyam by camel
Well my preferred transport a fast motorbike
Am I mad or are we all mad?
Poet vehicles not used in this piece: Rhyme, rhetorical devices, and patience!...

Chestnut Fires
Sashay then away
dangling mane burning
under a chestnut gaze
Fire filters a scented breeze
trotted off to the east
summer slips a gown of gold
churning amorous waves in need
Hush now this night
held sighs abreast
soothe my blushes rouge
that breathe
Lie down my faith
where last rushes flow
amidst a pledge bestowed...

Crossing the Park
The air was crisp, the trees were bare;
The paths were shoveled clean.
In Central Park today it was
Delightful and serene.
A lonely jogger trotted by;
A nanny pushed her charge.
Some dogs on leashes sniffed and strained;
The cloud-filled sky loomed large.
But mostly it was only me
A'stroll across the park,
Enveloped by the vista
Which was anything but stark....

Bubble Bong Betty
Bubble Bong Betty with high heeled shoes
Ate too much candy but never touched booze
Trotted around showing all of us her fancy stuff
Her voice was melodic, not a bit sharp or rough
She had a way that was soft but also pretty unique
Johnny said Bubble Betty is the kind of woman I seek
We all agreed she was a pretty special woman for sure.
She left the planet, however returning to her planet DeJour....

Violet
Violet Nature
A bacteria, lived in the sea it was green and
found its way to dry land, a desolate place
knuckle rocks, lava soil and sharp diamonds.
The bacteria thrived became the ancestor of
plant life our nature too became green, which
is a blessing, just think if the bacteria had been
lilac. On a mauve field horses trotted and under
lilac olive trees sheep grazed on juicy lavender.
How gay is that?...

-lonesome Man-
Lonesome man!
Had a chance to dance;
She took her shoes off;
Had a chance to kiss, (her)
Just one standing there aloft?
She trotted off;
For you see;
The lonesome man was in a wheelchair;
He was paraplegic!
She was deaf and couldn’t speak!!!
Alas, so he couldn’t sweep her off her feet?

Wait until the sun goes down
The scarecrow could hardly wait until the sun went down
He would climb off his post and twirl around and around
The corn stalks loved watching the pumpkin-head dance
He trotted and marched, and then did kind of a prance
But before The Browns, his farmers, woke up for the day
He climbed back on the post and proceeded to stay
He figured they might have heart attacks if they were to see
The dancing diva scarecrow swirling wild and free...

Our Hopes Joyfully Trotted Out
What can we buy that will cure what ails him?
We wished that we knew.
Trying treatment upon treatment.
Lotions, creams, pills, and ointments.
No relief was promised, but we were optimistic.
We expected some good results.
Our hopes were joyfully trotted out next to each treatment.
Twenty, thirty, forty times, our hopes were lifted up.
Finally dying a natural death, landing on the rocks of reality.
This is why they call it practicing medicine....

Night Blindness
She sped to dinner like a flash,
soon she'd be tipsy and flabby.
When suddenly there was a crash,
OH!she tripped over a tabby.
She was shocked, the cat was shocked,
Yes!the cat was shocked and how!
But don't you worry, off they walked,
With an OW! and a cursing MEOW!
She just trotted off, for hunger beckoned,
but as she struggled with food, forks and knives,
I doubt if at all she had reckoned,
That she'd scared off eight of kitty's nine lives....

Spotted We Are
A spotted hyena escaped from the zoo.
Along with a spotted skunk, so that made two.
A spotted moray sounded the loud alarm.
A spotted bass swam off with some charm.
Spotted fever ticks transmitted some fever,
Spotted swine asked if I was a believer
I showed him my spotted face and one spotted hand.
They made me an honorary member of the
Spotted dotted trotted slotted allotted band.
Hyena, skunk, moray, bass, swine and ticks.
We are singing tonight down by the River Stix....

White Horse
The White Mare
the incoming tide made an island out of
the sand bank where I sat, king for a day,
made a crown of coarse grass
but since I only ruled over a few crabs, who
bit my finger when I shook their claws, I
renounced my crown and swam ashore.
Sanitation workers, in blue overalls and
logo, heckled me since I was not like them
and they made fun of my crown.
On an incoming wave a white mare came,
bareback I mounted and gently the horse
trotted amongst the awestruck workers...
