Autumn's Reprise

Sipping love's velvet
In orange yellow cracks..
Swept and red tale's tilting
Through times, bronzed quills
Poetry seasons fables lore; vieta.

Winter Solstice

Earth's axis tilting

                                    Circling around the sun

                                       Winter has begun

Tilting Windmills

The pretentiousness of I
Tilting at windmills
In the hope of
Dulcinea
Little did I know that
My Shadow
Had the only giants
To be found

The Gist

He whose life for the time being
Is horrendously unyielding
Shall be found tilting at every windmill ..

Confused

The earth is standing
Upon its tail
I saw the chief Imam
Dash into the stall of the pork seller
Shouting "Hallelujah!"

The earth is tilting
Upon its axis...

Head Tilting

Head Tilting

I’ve lost my up-to-date level of
head tilting for the
Uncommon Certificate of
Head Action School. In my subjects I earned the
highest grade
ever
seen.

Castle Builder

You bring whimsical words
of glittering, gold-filled escapades
and of sparkling star-dust dreams.
Dreams of gallant adventure and peril,
with a Don Quixote way of tilting windmills.

Thank You Don Quixote

There you are!

I thought you gone
the way of the record player.

Toilet lid tied to your hand,
a light saber held up high,
tilting at metal windmills
on a Kansas prairie.

Perspectives

She is Trouble,
but she does not want to be.
She is a Loaded Gun,
That desires to protect.
But everyone who handles her
keeps tilting her in angles
that point her
straight at their heads.

Taken

Tender toes,
Treading tentativly,
Taking time,
Trying tactfully.
Tendons tremble,
Tension tightens,
Tilting, Twisting,
Tripping, tumbling!
Terror. Trouble.
Touching totality.
Tomorrow. taken.

Watchtowers

Titans tilting, tangibly human windmills
Swaying sentries, harboring haloed witness
Lofted coal mines, timber canary cages
            Whispers from redwoods

Last Ten Years

pushed to the cliff's edge
by demonic voices
one step shy
of tilting over
plunging to my demise
I receded
a thin hope
pulling me back
transforming my tears
into diamond words
shining in the darkness

Birds Tilting At Windmills

Multi-coloured whirlygigs
and dangling dvd mobiles
have a playful role
protecting my potted
young Blueberry bushes
from hungry for worm birds
digging up the plants
I might even add a baby monitor
making the sculpture
complete.

Short Verse

In Concert

Tilting my words
 —the meaning bends inside

(Villanova Pennsylvania: July, 2017)

Illusion

When I peer through muddied eyes
I see you
Quite endearing is that smile you bear
Waiting for my embrace and tender kiss
This place fills me with hope
I turn to glance at a passerby
When tilting my head back to you
With a shine in these eyes
You.
Are.
Air.

A Quiver

A quiver
  a nod
the slightest toss
  of her hair

A purse of her lips
  a shy crease
playing at the edges of
  her sealed mouth

A gesture
  imperceptible
a moment's tilting
  of a finger

The most
  indeterminate
of steps
  forward now

Stop
heart
  await

Open Your Myoptic Mind And, Look Around You

ìŸí Babylon: with your pie high in the sky, death wish ?
Living amid this house of cards; snake eyes domino's tilting box....
Cars and if they could see his californication then perhaps there would have
Been no need to flood her world ? Full moon madness friday the thirteenth some say.

Sounds of Love

Sounds of love
______________________________
I timber like the falling tree,
my knees weak and swaying
the slightest wind tilting my canvas
then a echo sends me to the waiting floor
that is what love feels like when you steal my heart.

Cells Melt

Blood rushes behind my eyes. Ocean waves
crash as I turn my head, tilting to get a better
view of you. But that’s impossible, isn’t it? No
view is adequate. How should one look at David?
My lips are dry. I’m fainting, surely. Cells melt
and mix, transfixed as you walk by. Unknowing.

Over the Curved Horizon

Listen to poem:
I see the horizon is not straight.
It curves down at its ends,
keeping the future pending,
just out of reach,
beyond the cliff's edge.
It bends sharply, like water does.
It refracts the line of expectation
into a sudden change of direction,
tilting destiny to fall its way.

Find Me At Six - Fountain Bubble

Find me by the fountain bubble
Seeking sunny phrases from you
Lifting laughter from rough rubble
Tilting your chin to pour pink due
Begging bowls in lyrical glee
In their company please find me

The Piper

To the piper's gate
I rush headlong
With thoughts of fate
I sing along

Such beauty in his lilting
Such longing in his tune
So far over my heart is tilting
His voice my only boon

Such wonder in his words
A heady mix of passions fire
He can even charm the birds
The piper of my hearts desire

Windmill Images

WINDMILL IMAGES

The old miller remembers
Learning, turning, yearning

A lifetime of struggling
And wind arm-wrestling

Swimming as a fish four-finned
Sails tilting at the quixotic wind

Land ships with canvas filled
Which never leave port

White painted sails in the breeze
On a journey to nowhere
