Mild breezes of springtime fragrant flowers songbirds’ lilting trills increasing verdant green lengthy, pleasant morning walks in comfy light-weight shorts and tees writing and reading in the porch swing-- How I long for these on cold winter days!

Tried golf

Paid fees
Bought tees

Teed off
Pals scoff

Drive muff
In rough

Balls lost
They cost!

Oh crap
Sand trap!

Putts bad
Gets mad!

More flubs
Breaks clubs!

So far
No par

Played poor
No more!

Club house
To souse!

The River Tees
Her mouth fountains from the gare nudges the north sea, branches left upon my town, i can only stare the views that greet me so adeft. The River Tees holds a place in my heart.

White Before My Eye
Within a gentle breeze I move
carrying white before my eye
gliding forth a Canterbury sky

Lions roar and tees get crossed
puffs signal a strength inside
anxious slays abstention lost

Shifts in fragrant fumes ferry
crimson tales filter through light
as pure visions come to sight

Rest weary pilgrim rest...

Diet
No amount of skinny
will starve you back to me
I’m hungry for your love
you’ve lost your appetite for me

I must cleanse my palate
learn to refine my taste
You took the love I fed you
And threw it in my face

She might be more beautiful
and fit in extra-small Tees
But she is something (which I am not)
and that’s empty calories...

Death
The amiable, the fierce both dwelt in you
You dived, a silent fish, into dark sea
Where living people cannot be immersed
The amiable, the fierce both lived in you
I watched you going through a sheet of tears
They dropped as does the Tees with its High Force
The amiable, the fierce were always there.
You dived, a silent fish, into dark sea...

Signs of Spring
Hocus pocus! Look, a crocus
Poking through the ground!
Weather’s warm so I should focus -
Flowers might be found.

Buds are blooming; I’m assuming
Petals will appear.
Time to stop my indoor Zooming;
Signs of spring are here.

Joggers baring legs and wearing
Shorts and tees or tanks.
Not me yet but I’m preparing
Soon to join their ranks....

Blood brines
Love lines
Frame fine

Glimpse grip
Time trip
Sweet sip

Set sail
Fear fails
Taste trails

Words wet
Soft set
Blush bet

Hurl hope
Stage scope
Raw rope

Faith frees
Touch tees
Boom be

Love lifts
Grand gifts
Soul sifts

Calm craft
Dream draft
Rich raft

The Month Is Drawing To a Close
The month is drawing to a close
And soon, to drift by every nose
Will be the scents of lilac, rose
And all the scented flowers.

The leaves on trees will next unfurl
And mostly every boy or girl
Will give new shorts and tees a whirl,
Imbued with sunshine’s powers.

The ice cream truck will ring its bell
With lots of frozen treats to sell,
As May prepares to sit a spell,
Refreshed by April’s showers....

Word-Worker
Word-Worker

Thee procurement and collection
Of this smattering of letters
No matter your predilection
For future employment of type setters
To criss and cross all the tees and eyes
Paying close attention to the prose
Transcribing thine inner reflections width and lengthwise
In all subsequent rows
By paying out the aforementioned
It may be held in contention
That without future authorship; I would be un-pensioned.

I Like Jeans
I like wearing jeans
and soft worn tees.
For my busy life
all I need are these!

I chase grand babies
and crawl on the floor.
I'm up and I'm down
and a whole lot more!

In one days time
I bathe and I dress.
I change a dozen diapers
and clean mess after mess!

I cook and I feed
I rock and I sing.
I stay very busy
just picking up things!

I wash and I dry
and I put away clothes.
That's why I like jeans
and a soft tee with holes....

Megan Marie
Beautiful and kind
She does not know
Reasons for hurting
As she rapidly grows

I remember the little tomboy
Dressed in tees and tennis shoes
Vowing she’d never give into
Societal prissy views

But give in she did
As the child became a teen
Astounding beauty with a purpose
Still trying to remain unseen

My niece and my Goddaughter
A special place already set aside
For my little boisterous tomboy
Inside my heart you’ll forever reside
