If the Good Lord Tarries -
in five thousand years
our entire planet may be
a cemetery…

When winter's swan song tarries long,
and dusk's musk outscents the dawn,
my forbearance carries strong.

Beyond the shadow
True, time never tarries for anyone,
Yet I can't outrun my shade cast below.
Even if my days are spent on the run,
Success, in its season, will surely show....

Virgin
With malar flushes,
Causelessly she blushes,
In solitude, to herself she smiles,
While walking, aimlessly she tarries.
With a startled look,
Whom does she seek?...

Territorial, she stalks the wildebeest

Juxtaposition, she tarries, crouching low

Young cubs nearby with rumbling tums

Limerick Extension
Wealth travels beyond world's obscurity,
she meets riches powering her duty.
'Hey accompany me',she said to riches,
But riches in her duty tarries.
Now,riches has wrought variant beauty.

Sinewed Fire
Youth's sure, sinewed fire of limb and gait,
Reside not long not tarries late.
The unetched silk of fair Morning's face
Dons so swift a different grace,
As boastful Dawn must e'er defer
To the granite reign of Time......

A Heart Song
A heart hath no boundaries,
It sees no fault, it does not fear.
It walks a narrow path alone,
Meeting sorrows along the way.
A path full of strife,
Yet it tarries along the path,
Till it reaches the place
Of absolute eternity....

A Rose
a rose
between
life's thorns
you are

a fragrance
of morn
that tarries
on breezes

blossom
of friendship
that enfolds

the beauty
of blush
in smiles
as i wake

the petals
of soft touch
through words
you are

...my cherished
rose...

A Monent's Silence
Eulogy echoes in a quiet heart
at the death of a beloved one.
In silence, the soul reaches

out where tear tarries
and sigh blocks the mind
from pondering: "Who next?"

The mind floats in space,
the eye reads a one-liner, bold:
A time for everything on earth.

It Tarries
things
like rings
just playthings
unfit for kings
romance, forth it springs
to share love's song, it sings
my voice, tarried on night's wings
soul's symphony, to you it brings
this melody within my heart's strings

If Composed
a harmony on strings of dreams
soft music tarries on night's seams
it sings a song that makes me whole
a melody within my soul

i hear the sounds aloft through sleep
an assonance composed so deep
soft beats my heart it does extol
a melody within my soul

i hum this tune within my mind
the words amiss i cannot find
though through my dreams it does inscroll
a melody within my soul...

To the One I Love
God made us friends for a reason,
May we last all season.
Even when times are bad,
And our friendship seems to tide,
I will stick to you and abide.
Two hearts that beat as one,
Indeed May we become.
As time pass and ages run,
Rosy friends we shall be.
In cold and rainy days,
Cozy friends we shall be.
As the bliss of friendship tarries,
Together we shall be.
From your wondrous companion,
Friend forever....

Premium Member Fall Splendour
September sun setting low,
Fall in all its golden glow;
Anticyclones hold transient sway
As mist forms ,at the close of day.

Dogwood,jasmine,marram grass
In flower ,as pressure fills the barometer glass;
Evening primrose in scented bloom
Fill Autumn with pungent perfume.

Winter migrants with welcome calls
As the Indian Summer falters,and falls;
Nature's tempo tarries,then slows
As all creation begins to doze....

September sun setting low
grasses so transient sway
mist forms
       at the close of day

Evening primrose
   scented bloom
      with pungent perfume

Sycamore seeds
twirl &twist
onto a fairy-ring fungus tryst

Nature's tempo
 tarries,then slows
     creation begins to doze

Silver glistens on bark
evening's warm
         caress departs

Delicate with shadowed signs
in the quiet
Fall gently whispers ..hello

Rain
Come rain and rain again
Our dry land tarries for you
Come and water the rose garden
Hasten up it’s your season

How soon will you be descending?
Confined in me with your coming
Take the weatherman unaware
Hit the roof from the sky tonight`
We forecast your coming lately
But you weren’t prepared that early
The dry season cheats you
Taking your tenure to rule
Our plants dislike its season
Come rain they cry everyday
Come rain…
And rain again...

Late Achiever
Belated achiever’s life’s sad:
The Joneses have their cars,
Philips own their regular pay
And Alexes are with the stars.

You shed a tear in the day,
And brave such sundry fights
As the Bensons placidly snore
Away their magnificent nights.

Divine clemency that tarries yet
Is your lingering wobbling hope;
And fickle kith and kin do hate
Belated achiever for his penury.

So it’s all sad woe upon sad woe
As blood and friendship turn foe.
