Cold
The bottle sweats.
Frail
The ice inside cracks.
Thick
The water runs
Down my throat
Quenching my thirst
So cold,
It hurts.
What makes us very proud and astute
is the sweat of our labor;
at the day's end we gather
around the rich table of gratitude.
snow fall…
winter breeze
triggers passion
her touch
warms the heart…
cold sweats condense
chimney…
body warmth

Sweats and Sweets
I put on my sweats
I eat the sweets
belly so big
can’t see my feets.

Iced-sweats seep down her ebony skin-
this sexy number 8 needs a take-in.
while she gawp, i stared back
only to drool and hijack
her, for her name is GUINNESS, my sole kin!
solstice heat
first days of summer
solstice heat simmers and sweats ~
cool blue waves hug shores
summer heat rises
rushes past swirling fog banks ~
palm tree parasols
blinding summertime
a great, loathsome spider sweats
enjoying the heat
while spinning his web
using his mouth and eight legs
summer spider steams

UNDER THE EQUATOR
santa sweats
tree lights swelter rainbows
snowdrift dreams
Winter's lost
wanders serengetti
heading North
I died
And when I awoke
All the women were tall
Wearing sweats
Had their hair up
Cursing
Smoking menthol cigarettes
They say god loves babies and fools
There are babies out there
And fools in here

Wind’s a’whipping;
Branches thrashing.
Chairs are flipping;
Teeth are gnashing.
Garbage flying;
Scarves wrapped double.
Those home sighing,
Sweats and stubble.
Wind chill saying
It’s much colder.
Those out paying,
Being bolder.
dream
fanciful, entertaining
uplifting, floating, flying
bed, pillow, fist, monster
startling, heart-pounding, horrifying
ugly, scary
nightmare
Night sweats to nightmares,
when will this torment seest.
Teary days to hateful days,
when will this torment seest.
Empty hand to empty heart,
when will this torment seest.
Days to nights; nights to days.
How will this torment seest.

Sunlight seeps
through the blinds,
oozes into the room.
The ceiling fan sweats
from its labor.
The clock creeps
at half speed,
pendulum dragging
through syrupy air.
On the stoop,
the old cat sprawls,
soothing her arthritic joints.

It's 42 Degree Centigrade. The moon
shines hotly in Dammam.
Indians and Filipinos bathe
in soak of sweats.
Grinding their teeth
of desolation and contemplation.
One thought of going
the other is still
In dilemma of decision.
I know nothing of,
Such pleasures of pearls,
Just withered pictures,
Of drowned petals.
Floating in the water,
Of sin and sacrifice,
When the mirror,
Becomes what is seen.
Yet a song to bleed,
In sweats salty taste,
The oceans face,
Spraying my dreams.
Form:
I feel the heat
but not the light
what shall I do?
Oh what shall I do?
my heart sweats too.
Hold my hand,
hold my brush
and lead me on
away from this blank canvas.
Where is the palette?
Where is the color?
Let me draw a master piece
that befits this world.
Anxiously falling asleep, cold sweats, night fears,
reluctantly awakening, inner loneliness, hearts tears,
emotionally over loaded, self-pity, depression, nobody hears.

Poetry contest - Depression is... a short poem

Sugar skin
is what he said,
is it true?
She believed either way...
Sun boils
and radiates
sweats to the earth
then beads form and seperate
on her skin
eventually
evaporates
turns to the smell of a sweet
grainy substance
that he breathes in,
sugar skin
Sleep deprived awake in sweats
And sleeping by a bayonet
I feed the guy then lay in bed
If the beast I like don't take his meds
He's creeping by my blanket step-pin
Discreet then hides and raise his head
Might see the light embrace the end
Get eaten by my favorite pet

problems in the world,
makes people mad,
and others try,
what's really wrong.
Many people to day,
they struggle as they can,
but nothing they achieve
from their sweats.
What's wrong with the world,
painful and hard
on the side of the rich,
and the poor at large?
No poem today
I'm sorry to say
I'm feeling a little ill
It started with a chill
Then I got the sweats a bit
Been sleeping to get over it
A little juice, some chicken soup
Hopefully I'll be back in the loop
I'm better now just getting rest
I'm quarantine for it's the safest
Coming and going as a cloud,
My sweet,
Down pouring-
When I am in thirst,
You are the wind, hugging me when it sweats,
Again tying me up with Sun rays, when it's cold,
In a world no one to take care, yes, where? no other,
You are the caregiver for me like a mother!
