Wind’s a’whipping; Branches thrashing. Chairs are flipping; Teeth are gnashing. Garbage flying; Scarves wrapped double. Those home sighing, Sweats and stubble. Wind chill saying It’s much colder. Those out paying, Being bolder.

Crikey, Ilene, that sent a shiver right through me (and I’m sat here with the central heating on). Rico’s got the right idea about watching by your window… but I wouldn’t recommend climbing a mountain in this weather. ;-) Terry

Oh, we had some winds through here last night! Sometimes you wonder how your house stays intact. Hope you have a much better day with lots of sunshine! Enjoyed your poem, as always! :)

Oh my, Ilene, this sounds like Chicago, but I know you are in New York. You must be getting the brunt of some of the storm moving eastward already. We're expected seven inches of snow on Sunday, or so I am told.

Wind is best enjoyed on a mountain peak; it can be terrifying on city streets! Stay home and watch it by your window! Aloha!
