I call them poems
they don’t rhyme
they don’t have a structure
or tell a story
they only recite my fond memories
I call them poems
It really wouldn’t be a crime,
fit the structure just one time;
Typos and syllable counts,
paint my pen like a clown;
Tricky words without a rhyme.
A tall white wanted some coffee
So he sent his guards off walking
The guards came back
With some vodka and craps
Now the whites no longer have handle
Sometimes I get so sick of rhyming
All the meter and structure of rhyming
When I just need to say
What I've wanted to say
Without worrying about rhyming
