solitude

black peppercorn
on a ribbon
of tagliatelle
I, on my path
sinuous striding
impelled by you
impaled by you

oh susan
i love you
the beers
the smoke
your favorite
thing
taking
time
off
from
swimming
fast
driving

Ron’s been striding to catch the galoot,
but his misstep was not so astute.
Though his record’s alright,
he fixates on his height,
so his lift in the polls gets the boot.

Premium Member True Height

Flowing smile
Spreading out from within
Long feet
Leaping across hills
Striding over barriers
Riding over pains
With every step
Bellowing up steam
From every fated puff
Drawing out illusion
That reaches too high

Into the azure

Into the azure
lofty inter loppers linger
romantics wear me out
day dreaming till they die
Blackbirds in flight
brings you back into life
the fetches of light appoint
the mountains yawn
learn the rhythm
in mists striding the horizon

Premium Member Consequence is Calling

Can you hear consequence? Is it calling?
Will we ever turn to face the weather?
Hush little lamb; all your senseless bawling.
Blinded by our choices; a braided tether.

Striding in cadence with the bellwether.
We’ll soon have to answer; all together.

Brown Sands

Brown Sands
Lifting hands
To hold as we walk the heat drenched beach
Sun risin'
Red horizon
Nearly within our striding reach

Footprints measure
Our mortal treasure
That is ours for a brief time
Between our toes
A mystery unfolds
Of rich, Brown Sands so fine

Premium Member Alone in a Crowd

Striding through the carnival crowd,
a man alone, not seen or heard,
watching folks, boisterous and loud,
I'm happy not saying a word.

Life is a carnival, they say.
In the bustling throng, on my own,
strangely, I'm more than just okay -
I feel comfortable, alone.

The Invisible Vagabond

The silent soul
who sullenly
seeps within
the sentimental
seas of solitude.
Always lead astray
by every
passing day.
Just to remain
amongst the stars.
Striding through
time’s strangled streams
of faintly
faded dreams.
Embedded beneath
the once blue
eyed beams of an
embittered beauty.

Over striding downs with grassy scrub
and into the trees with clumps of shrub

Beechwood,downlands and common heath
in earthy limeston inches beneath

The basil spreading six feet tall
by a freshwater spring ,trickling small

Along shaded lanes with gates and stiles
and wayside pubs,to rest awhile

You Are the One...

You are the one
I have not to seek after
You are a friend!

You are the one
The wings of my rainbow- my laughter
You are a caring-hand!

You are the one
swarming my heart,
making me quiver-
gleaming my mount,
striding along my pasture…

You are the one
You are the only one
You are the one I love!

Making Up the Number's

Striding outside the castle wall's
On stricken donkey's
With only a Mexican blanket for a saddle
The rider pinces
For king and country
My stomach is hungry
As are the wizened children
Behind the gates
Conscripted to the work house's
The furnaces blast
In metal casts
Swelling the army
Making up the number's

A Pair of Shoes

Sturdy striding shoes
You searched for resplendent hues
Among common folk
Vincent, did you know
That the kingdom of heaven
Flowed from your paintbrush?

My Loneliness

Walking in darkness
walking alone,
	striding into mysteries
	into land of thoughts,
stranger yet my own,
my loneliness.

	No pictures to paint
no colors, no seasons yet cold.
Searching my identity,
in my past.
	Silent yet melodious,
my loneliness.

Who knows? Who cares?
Who deserves? Who dares?
	All left unspoken,
in the darkness, alone, into mysteries.

Pds Inner Animals

The Fox a cunning sort
Racing through the fields
Hunting not just for sport
Sly and sure, steady is he

The Wolf a beautiful beast
Uses timeless instinct
Proud of family and feast
Protection of pack his home

The Coyote the fearless one
Striding, wandering aimlessly
Majestic in his own, none
Continuous on his journey

Inspired by Destroyer Poet, thank-you

Endangered Species

Girl in red, a dress
Pleated down to her knees, skips
                 Down the lonely street.

                 Man in black beret
                 Sunshades set on face, striding
                 Down the narrow street.

                 Girl turns, sees this chap
Hurries her steps, man does so too
                 Girl runs, man runs too.

Brightly shining,
golden silhouette,
always minding,
forwards striding,
showing lightning,
bodies grinding,
trying, fighting.

Emotional freedom,
religious speeches,
attempted inspirations,
delivered vibrations,
related relations,
without hesitations.
Awaken manifestations.

Tingling sensations,
mental frustrations.
Sexual too,
how true,
angels flew,
will do all I can for you.

Premium Member Little Pains

LITTLE PAINS

At point of striding forth

A red slash!

From nowhere

Unprepared by dissolution

What wasn’t is suddenly thrust in from nowhere

Think addition

What wasn’t now added to the pixie brotherhood

Yet knowing their traveling propensities

Their being before long elsewhere gone

One strides on

Just little pains

Little old gooses

Little pains urging awareness

Sparkling Deepawali

Striding through the sparkles in satin sand.
And luminous sparkles twinkling all around.
Casting spell with the sparkles in her eyes
And sparkling sparklers in her hands.
May gaiety deities step in frolicking with sparkling smile.
With sparkling lotus sillage trailing like an elated child.
And thumping foot ferreting behind the dodging ambrosial of sparkling motichoor.
May the sparkling smile sparkle for life.

Premium Member Emptiness

Zero encloses life, void is full if bits from nothingness break away, striding strife. You can’t empty life’s emptiness, lastingly stays full free. God’s stilled grace keeps soul’s bay filled. Zero encloses life, life’s emptiness, lastingly stays filled. __________________ April 17, 2022 Syllable count checked on HMS Contest : Let's Minichu On Zero Sponsored by : Mohan Chutani

Welcome To Bruno's Mens' Wear

Welcome to Bruno’s Mens’ Wear

By Elton Camp

The clerk in the mens’ clothing store
Saw one who hadn’t been there before

He was striding along extremely fast
As the clerk spoke, he went on past

The man darted into the dressing room
And slammed the door with a boom

For security the clerk started to call
When the customer let our a bawl

Horrid words he then came to hear
“There’s no toilet paper in here!”
