There was a lady from Trent
Who could not pay her rent.
She stitched and sewed
And lo and behold
She now resides in a tent.
a blanket of thoughts
stitched together by your words…
sheltered and content

broad faced koala
like Jim Henson stitched muppet
stinky hugs clamber
wide eyed from home in gum tree
scared away by Aussie flames
A lady named Patricia McDuckett
Had a body shaped like a bucket.
She tried many creams
To cover her seams
But finally nipped and tucked it.
have flat head
to receive hailstones
grow big chest
to carry rocks
borrow rubber feet
to step on thorns
possess stitched mouth
to sing in silence
The light of the sun
shines a warm, bright
heat to a bedcover
stitched in flowers.
I sleep by
a blue
flower drape.
It comforts
the fresh
sunned skin.

Do not hesitate
To weave your life's tapestry.
The blink of God's eye
Is less time than your thread long.
Use genuine hues stitched strong.
She flutters on silence,
a creature stitched from light and ache--
too fragile to stay,
too fierce to fall.
He never saw the cracks
until she flew through them.
Its spring time
When beauty is released
Like a hand stitched
Patchwork masterpiece
Nature shows off
Her spring time finery
Spread like a throw
Over all you see

Mirror mirror on the wall
Who is she that's looking at me?
Perfectly imperfect stitched with good intentions
Yet when she looks in the mirror, all she sees is a blurred image....
Too many tears
Have been shed
Too many broken years
Spent restless in bed
Too many heartbreaks
Unable to be stitched
Too many headaches
Have left my mind unhinged
Forty years shopworn yet still taut,
the past a seamstress rare
Her words reknitted, stitched and purled
—to dress a future bare
(Villanova Pennsylvania: January, 2020)
Stitched in yarns of neutral gray,
I fashion a robe from wool
To cover me against icy breeze
And by donning a smaller size,
The wrap becomes a tight hug.

Contest - C
A red streak running till the kitties left alone
An Edward
Unfurled with the intent of being taken
A hole stitched with embroidery is an inevitable breakthrough

velvet waters hum,
moonlight stitched in drifting threads—
old songs rise again
A paper lantern of a girl;
Dim halo hazy, stitched thin by needlework.
A precision seamstress of darker dreams--
Freedom is a luxury, not
A privilege.

A Potential collapsed made by choice,
A Vibration only till a ear hears its noise,
A Universe forever changed by just one voice,
A Forever stitched with moments, lets rejoice.

Great warli designs,
triangles and circles, stitched
skillfully on cloth.

I found myself standing before you with all my tattered threads
I gave it all to you for your skillful hands to mend
Now you've stitched yourself into me
You put your name on the inside of my collar
Silver green to dark forest,
leaf stitched lace dresses March trees;
slender leaves play violin,
spring's sweet amoroso to the breeze.

they just
cut a hole in my back
took their pound of flesh
and stitched it up so well
there's barely a scar
it was my fourth
and my son said
how many cancers
you going to have?
I just laughed
