A very touching poem, more relevant now that that the people and animals that lost everything in the fires and are still recovering from that trauma now have the shared concern with the world with regard to the pandemic ... Hope all is well with you and yours stay safe ...Shirley

They are the softest, sweetest, slow moving creatures you could ever want. I have felt their soft fur and their trauma I feel deeply. Very nice Tanka. xxoo

That's such a horrendous situation; those beautiful beings are already listed as "functionally extinct"; well penned sadness.

It is so sad what is happening in Australia. All those poor animals without a home. My heart goes out to them and all the people who are suffering because of the fires.

The Australian fires are truly extreme - your poem is cute, but sad, animals and humans are exposed to fumes and flames as fires roar out of control - poor koalas! Blessings, Jennifer.
