Delta Daze Zom Bee

The Zombies of COVID-19
Are screaming they want a vaccine
Now is too late
To change your fate
But stick around for Halloween!

Premium Member Stick Around For the Fireworks

Portents of the storms to come
Ascends the altar drunk on rum

Forgets his two-word line, 'I do'
Says instead, 'Do I know you?'

The world is a playground.
Using animal reasoning that's sound,
find the bullies as you must,
and the people you can trust,
and you can stick around.

Hinderance

You look so alive
You've got everything in the world
Got it all going for ya
In all the best ways possible
Don't stick around me

I'm just a hindrance
Form: Verse

So I'Ll Remember: Post-It

You come
You go
You fall away
     and I forget
I'll find another
     and another
     and another until
I've run out

I implore you
I beg you
Please, stick around

Emotions

Many emotions roll by the sidewalk and leave
but some, they stay and claim your soul
like a turbulent halo stirring your crown
They stick around and anchor/with no reprieve

Premium Member Birthday Limerick

Blow out the candles on your birthday cake.
Before you do that, there’s one wish you make.
Wish for one more year

We’ll need one more candle, goodness sake!

Between Us

Don't tease me
a common word exchanged
between friends who are lovers
excitedly rearranged

Just stick around
so easily spoken
among the closest of people
but tragically broken

Fight a Good Fight

even in the dark, theres always light
stick around to see the end of the great fight
sometimes you want to give up and you get very sore
if you fight a good fight, you will win the war

Dead Men Whistle For the Cool Breeze

The soul in my dead man whistles when you pass.

Is it asking for too much,to stick around and make it last?

...Was is it you or just a cool breeze?

...Oh, the feeling of a cool breeze.

Love

I love a girl that makes me smile
I think she'll stick around a while
I hope she knows how much i love her
and so does god who's up above her
I hope she trusts me in her life
maybe someday she'll be my wife

Premium Member She Has An Irish Heart

He has a black heart
I stay away
His heart is blue
Ditto

She has a pink heart
I imagine love
She is a bleeding heart
I do not want to admit that I am too

She has an Irish heart
I stick around to see
If it is me

To My Bride

Love is a name
I talked to myself
To understand
Why you'd stick around
For my falsetto

Today I match
And say
Something I write
On every napkin note
Every day

My lips and breath are yours
I just need your love
Always

Premium Member Baby Robins Fly the Nest

~We Are Family ~

Baby robins fly the nest
  Young fish swim away
Baby bucks soon sprout antlers
  No reason to stay...

Human parents are spoiled
  Our babies do not stray
They stick around for years
~ A price we gladly pay

Premium Member Fear Is Not Real

Fear is not real

except inside your head

that doesn't matter

when you're dead

Danger, however

that may sound

is to be revered

if you want to stick around

So fear matters not

but danger does

when you're sweating blood

and on a buzz

Confused

I am so confused
How is it you feel about me?
Am I reading the cards right?
Or
Am I just reading without a light again?
Should I move on?
Or
Should I stick around for a little while longer?
I can try the other, but,
I’d rather have the familiar

What Its About

It's not about how many friends you have or people that you know its about the ones who will stick around when the rest will turn and go,some may live an entire life and still may never know what its like to have a friend to turn to when you need them most.

Incessant Recollection

incessant recollection
dredge up imagery
imprinted upon
the screen of
the mind reflecting
back through
lens of the mind's eye
scenes of past nights
wasted spent in pointless
conversation getting
to know a person that
would not stick around

Truthful

The word is filled with such liers, sinners, people who don't keep promises when you
ask them. It makes you worry sometimes if you can survive the constant struggle of
living. But just keep your head up and stay strong the world gets better if you only
stick around.

When the Abuse Thinks Simple Thoughts

You have a knack for making every bone in my brain ache.
If I stick around they'll surely snap like twigs.
I wonder what bones haven't mended in your brain
for you to mar mine.
Must have been hard for you
to become so merciless.
I hope I don't become the same
I hope...

Robin In November

Walking by the lake
this morning my eyes
spotted an old friend
a robin perched in a tree,
making music, as only he can do.

Never seen a robin in
November, guess he liked
it here so much, he just thought
he would stick around
   for a while.

Black Tornadoes

Black tornadoes, destroy
Everything, in their path
Not bothering to stick around
for the aftermath
It's like Us, in their Misery, they
wish to give a bath
Just to break Us, and tear Our
hearts in half
As if this signature hit, is some
sort of autograph
Leaving behind this stillness and
Cold draft
