Started Out Slow
Started Out Slow

Are many ways which a child may go;
Did end up fast after starting out slow;
God is there;
Secrets to share;
Right pace for us God will always know.

Writer Starting Out As a Scribe
Writer Starting Out as a Scribe

Am writer starting out as a scribe,
Who depicted things in my diatribe;
Never late;
Poems create,
Like medical doctor does prescribe.

Premium Member Emerald
gorgeous emerald trumps shamrocks and leaves
starting out as beryl, dull tan rock
if you keep it a million years
you'd really have something
to make into a ring
or pretty pendant
sweet emerald
May birthday
verdant

A poem, holds a prize
As it gradually unfolds
Revealing an inner side
Like a tiny rose bud
Starting out tightly closed
Unfolding
Taking on a richer color
With new dimensions
Opening itself up
Bringing joy and beauty
To waiting eyes...

As swift behooves,
In challenging quest,
Competitive hearts,
Race their best,
A treasure to win,
One measurable test,
For equine ones,
The World's Best.

A Final Goodbye
Starting out with belief
  all that’s left is regret

Starting out with hope
  every wish then denied

Starting out with love
  at the end only pain

Starting out with a welcome
   —one last final goodbye

(Villanova Pennsylvania: February, 2019)...

A Creation
A creation,
That you call your own,
Same blood,
Same looks,

Same behavioral effects,
Attitude is the same,
The strive they get,
Is pushed on them,

Advice from you,
Compliments too,
It's all just beginning,
Just starting out new,

A creation from you......

Starting

There is
an experience of
inner luminosity in
 each of us..where
we need to start..
All out there colors
but does not change
our starting place..
Starting out there
starts with splintering
endures as suffering
and endless searching
for that hidden
way to Start......

Premium Member Clever Wind Does Not Tip Her Hand
clever wind
she does not show us her cards
keeping them close to her vest

she lures us in
a sense of peace
starting out calm and breezy

She picks up speed
the trees are swaying
I wonder, but she calms it down again, showing nothing

during the next lull
I hear a freight train, except louder
knowing it is her, I head toward the basement...

Hit return or hit the gas; either way will do.

Unrelenting is the mantra that I've subscribed to.

Racing every moment, even during sandman’s quest.

Really, I’m not kidding; day and night I feel so pressed!

Idleness deceives me behind his simple mask

Exactly what was my goal when starting out this task?

Deliver me to a real life; that is all I have to ask....

The Acrobat
Workel walked a wiggly wire
Strung between two church spire,
A crowd had gathered underneath,
To see this stunt beyond belief.

Starting out with his balance pole
He suddenly heard the church-bell toll,
This very loud ringing noise
Made poor Workel lose his poise.

He lost his balance, down he come,
Flying past a bell-ringing nun,
Luckily there was no slaughter,
He landed in a pond of holy water....

Flowers Can Be
Floral fragrances fill the air
Lost memories appear everywhere.
Originally starting out as seeds
Wither without water and sun to feed.

Every morning they open up
Reminders of drinks taken from lifes cup.
Sent to show someone that you care
Caressing the senses, standing fair.

A flower to mark both joys and pain
Needing only soil, sun and rain.
Blossoming beauty ripe to be picked
Evoking emotions no one can predict....

Colors
Colors define us - in many a different way.
They tell a lot more about us - than what people say!
We learn the basics - when starting out in life.
And in some religions - help us to deal with strife!

Colors can be big and bold - but some are subtle too.
Sometimes they can even - define the things we do!
Like everything in life - colors are open to interpretation.
Which has been going on - since the time of our creation!...

That's the Best I Can Do
What could I give to Him,
what do I have ?
What could I give to Him
that He does not have ?

I'll give my life to Him
that's the best I can do.
All broken and tattered,
I know He'll make it new.

Now that my life is His,
what do I do ?
Now that my life is His,
I'm surely starting out new.

I'll keep my trust in Him,
that's the best I can do.
Wherever He leads in life,
I trust He'll see me through.

SMILE TIME starts early in the morning Can tell by the glow on the horizon A sign it will be another happy day There's no denying the signs We tremble with excitement Like when we were first starting out Hard to imagine a greater enthusiasm Surely at the top of the list Not everyone is ready for SMILE TIME Especially after late night of excesses All in all it's still just one day at a time For two days talk to the administrator

Kinetically
I'm liking this kind of energy
through this thin wire from you to me
I'm loving the way it's making me feel
flowing from you so easily

I'm liking the way this is starting out
a touch...a spark...kinetically
the moon ascending high on a clear night
glowing almost poetically

I'm liking the way that you express
all the thoughts you hold inside
loving the way it's making me feel
two stars that are electrically charged
with fire when they collide...

Ivy
Ivy is a name
That I see for a child
Who flows like the wind
Half soft and half wild
Starting out a seed
Waiting to be free
Sprouting all across
Like look look look at me!

Traveling back and forth
And also up and down
Twisting to and fro
Laughing like a clown.
As she grows so tall
As she’s fed with love
She will lift your spirits
Like an angel from above.

For Ivy will be pretty
Ivy will be seen
Ivy the chosen color
As always, Lucky Green....

When texting was just starting out, my friend texted LOL to me.
Little ornery lunatic?
Lovely ordinary laugh?
Luxuriously outstanding lady?
Lobe-oriented log-splitter?
Land over Lithuania?

Lime Orange Lion-berries?
I texted back “what is LOL?”
But she had shut her phone off
For the night.

I texted three more friends,
But their phones had also
Been shut off.

This was before people started
carrying their cellphones all
day long, looking at them
constantly you see.

LOL...
