The Kentucky Derby Poem

As swift behooves,
In challenging quest,
Competitive hearts,
Race their best,
A treasure to win,
One measurable test,
For equine ones,
The World's Best.

Well they all sound good! I bet that was fun working there. I took my son there and got pictures outside. We were going to take the tour but we're running low on time!

Thanks for your comments. I wrote it several different ways in order to use this site to print out my downloads and share with several people to determine which rendered version was the most suitable. I started one out “As swift behooves” and another version with “So swift behooves”. Also I ended one with “Churchill’s best” and another version with “the worlds best”. Kinda needed some advice on the rendition most logically suitable. Then I wrote several similar other versions with the Preakness Stakes and the Belmont Stakes version. I haven’t posted those here yet, just here at home in My files. I worked at Churchill Dowbs, off and on, for over fifty years.
