"The Expected"

The writing was on the wall
the eraser like a sparkler
annihilated every naysayer

words not required
for such a blind date
He da main player

records kept
for reviewing later

Happiest She's Ever Been
Cracking up like a firecracker,
The sparkling of her smile, bright as a sparkler.
Glowing of her neverending glee, as though she's a star.
As they gaze at the shining in her eyes, they realize,
It's the happiest she's ever been, since what seemed forever....

Penny 4 the Guy
Riding on a rocket
Towards the stars
One is the brightest of them all
Let's call it the sparkler
The masterchief of the partyhosts
The crackerjack banging the wall
It's making the catherine wheel turning
Through the fage clouds and their smoke
I gave you a penny for your thoughts
And sold it to the guy and hot chestnuts...

Photographer
She practices posing
  In a mirror reflection
    I see her elegance

Eyes sparkler brighter
  Than ocean ripples
    Under a full moon

Her expression
  Is one of holding
    A hidden secret

Her stance is
  Balanced only by
   A tripod for her hands

For she is a photographer

But I see the
 True image from
   Sitting in the chair...

A Penny For the Guy
Cracker jack fun for November -
fireworks feature Catherine Wheels.
Guy Fawkes, a hero, no longer,
cracker jack fun for November,
roast hot chestnuts and remember.
The sparkler smokes; the rocket peals.
Cracker jack fun for November -
fireworks feature Catherine Wheels.

A sparkler in the night
A silver stick of stardust
Sparkling with flashing light
With a dash of delight.

A silver stick of stardust
Coloured flowers Ignite
With a dash of delight.
Rotating bursts of light

Coloured flowers Ignite
Sparkling with flashing light
Rotating bursts of light
A sparkler in the night.

Two hearts met:
“firecrackers,” they said,
nearly six months apart,
‘works right from the start.
like rockets, their feet
shot off from the ground,
the sound most spectacular
a feat fated
for inextricable hearts.
Catherine wheels
connected for life, with
sparkler hands,
and of course,
she labored
with their firstborn
on Labor Day
and their youngest
inclined to kiss Christmas.

Ode To the Ladybug
blood red diamond
tops tender green emeralds,
rose quartz and morganite
in a feast of polished deposit.

teardrop laden,
glistening against the stirring sun,
the world waits in dew.
crystal drops wink,
the blood diamond contemplates emerald tightrope,
slick escape.

with a bubble here,
a drop there,
Little Lady Beetle
attempts to dry its wings.

the flower that rests beneath
bends low,
and too shimmers
like a July sparkler....

Penny For the Guy
Rocket launch in the air above the tree
Catherine Wheel conceive on the 5th July
but feels weary
The sparkler smoke is in the sky like a distance memory
Celebrations of fireworks could be heard from a far
Catherine looks at the world of guys in the crowd
wonders if theirs better days
Cracker jack heart is pleased with hers
Their love is troubled like a broken plate
Guy in the distance with the hot chestnuts
wonder if Catherine will love again...

The brave man or woman, like sunshine, speaks his/her truth.
The get-a-alongs, say nothing new, afraid to rock the boat.

It takes all kinds to make the world work.
I’d like much more courage, than seeing others going through life
with a insensitive smirk.

I cannot plant the love of being a sparkler for life in anyone’s heart.
More unwilling to love you, and with ice cold hearts, soon depart!

Premium Member Winter Snow Ringing In the New Year
Winter snow came in with the restless wind
Falling from the dim night undisciplined
Lazily swirling fine lace.
Swept in by its downy grace
To the earth below like so sparkler twinned.

Ringing in the New Year as glasses raise.
A toast to new beginnings with fresh ways.
Keeping the hand gloved, out of
Cookie jars enticing love,
Sex-craze promises make those good old days.
