OLD ROCK

Ripped souvenirs tucked like debris
Old rock preserves them through history.

An empty bench is never homeless~
               as it shelters golden prints
               of amethyst heartbeats,
               engraved as souvenirs,
               for whatever tomorrow's
               dawn may bestow.

Carnival
Bright lights, loud music.
Fun, food, shows.
Exhibits,
Fleeting glimpse of fantasy.
Normalcy returns.

Aftermath,
Memories remain,
Bringing smiles.
Carnival,
So much fun, so little time.
Souvenirs, dreams kept.

Premium Member When a Memory Hits

Memories can be such sweet souvenirs of times past,
they can jump to the surface and transport you to
a different time and place with a simple trigger such as
a song, a smell or a gentle breeze
Good memories will engulf you with pleasure and are
usually welcomed with a smile, but bad memories can ruin a good day

Topography- embrace its meaning
Open roadways- visually gleaning

State boundaries- further we'd proceed
Connect-the-dots- we'd follow their lead

Deepened creases- a wider landscape
Artful tearing- revived with clear tape

Thumbprint dirt stained- unplanned souvenirs
Revisited- discovered frontiers

Premium Member Majestic Princess

A misty sky hovers over the bay
Awaiting the Majestic Princess
Suddenly appearing on the horizon
Like a garganuan beast plowing
Through frothy watery furrows,
Eager shopkeepers making ready
For bargain hunters their wares
Expensive doodads for souvenirs.

Aux Femmes Et Hommes Qui Ont Seme

Le jour à se rappeler
Mon Dieu avec guidance
Un moment de silence
Nous rendons notre respect
Vos souvenirs sans regret
Dieu nous relève

Ses petits souliers non oubliés
Dans nos coeurs remplis d'amour

Premium Member Happy Valentine's Day

I've had no lover's valentine
For far too many years,
But I still have some sweet love notes
Among my souvenirs.

If my loved one were here it would be
Valentines every day.
To show my love for him, I'd strew
Hearts all along the way.

Don't weep for me, I've had my share.
This is your time, enjoy.
May your love's words be just as true
As those of my lost boy.

Early quiet morning
Poems after refreshing poem
When I chanced upon
A pot of gold
Verse one was about love
This brought a quiet smile
The mention of the Phoenix
Confused me further
Feeling the deep thought
Of the poet was impossible
The ‘tired legs’
And ‘the souvenirs’
Confusing me more and more
But the end was tremendous
Though ‘no comments’
I left being unsure
me

In the End

In your life experience,
how well, did you think you did?
                  Just to find out that
                 thing you were pursuing
              alone with others
ended up being a fairy tale,
which was profligated in the end.
       Concoct ever-lasting souvenirs
     that will exist throughout
   the ages of the ouroboros.

The Endless Journey

There’s one memory of us
The light that I can’t find
The roots of unfind love
Those still souvenirs

Spin me around, shake me up
One story’s not enough
Open my eyes to real life
Lost in moments,looking around

I am fading away, yet sinking deep
I am waiting for you
I want to see if you can feel the same
I need your love
I just want to scream that
I love you the way you are.

Bonjour

Avec grande amour
Joyeux Noël et bonne année
Faut toujours bien se rappeler
Notre sourire est précieux
Au bon Dieu
Réjouir
Des beaux souvenirs
Les liaisons
Parmi nos chansons
Chaque note
Nous emporte
J'admire
Vous faire rire
Bonne humour
À tous les jours
Passion d'amour
Chacun son tour
C'est bien Moi
J'ai confiance en soi
Venez mes nouveaux amis
J'ai les chaises sorties

He stands behind a large tree

A silhouette in the dark

Patiently waiting and watching

Until she appears in sight

He is mesmerised by her beauty

He knows soon she will be his

His heart races with excitement

His and his only……as long as he lives

He watches her intently

Until she disappears

Puts the binoculars in is backpack

With all his new souvenirs …..!

Loving Through a Microphone

Loving like a microphone
When we’re on the phone
You ignore everything I’ve done
Our time together was fun, I guess?
Missing you in your summer dress
When I’m not with you, I’m not my best

It’s no secret, I’m crazy in love
Keeping mementoes as souvenirs
The flower in your hair
The kiss you left upon my lips
Crazy, maybe!?
Wishing I could keep you forever
Like a memory inside a glossary .
